The debate about confirming Loretta Lynch is suddenly getting partisan.
Democrats are now increasingly slamming the Republicans’ handling of President Barack Obama’s nominee for attorney general, complaining that the veteran federal prosecutor’s confirmation is being slow-walked by Republicans. Their evidence: The Senate Judiciary Committee could clear Lynch’s nomination as early as Thursday, two weeks after her confirmation hearing ended. But that vote will almost certainly be delayed until the end of this month — which means she won’t get a final floor vote until March.

. The confirmation pace stands in especially stark contrast to how quickly the GOP-led Senate has taken up Ash Carter’s nomination for defense secretary. He first appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee Feb. 4, was swiftly reported out of that panel earlier this week and is headed to a Thursday confirmation vote.
“There’s so many similarities between the Lynch nomination and the Carter nomination,” said Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), one of Lynch’s biggest boosters. “And to move Carter so quickly and to slow down Lynch is very troublesome, and I think they ought to move her ASAP.”

Republicans have said generally they have no beef with Lynch’s qualifications and résumé. But Republicans are using her nomination as one way to fight Obama over his executive actions on immigration, and they have also repeatedly pressed Lynch over issues involving current Attorney General Eric Holder — who has had a deeply contentious relationship with GOP lawmakers.

You beat me to it.
My gut feeling is that she would be much worse than Holder, even as bad as he is.
We know that. If and knowing the history of the Republicans, it is a big if, the vote delay is just to pacify their sheep. The only mystery is how many republicans will vote to confirm her.
Lynch and Holder one an the same!
Sadly, I have to agree with your analysis.
That’s the way politics works. They hold up the nomination until all the subpoenaed documents and witnesses questioned for a myriad of things, like IRS, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, shadow immigration system.
Pretty obvious she’s obammy in a wig.
Looking at her resume and most of her work on paper, seems like a decent person; certainly better than her disgraceful predecessor. However, as Cruz exposed, her answer in the hearings were very troublesome.
Orrin Grant Hatch has rung the bell: All aboard! And some think Hatch is “a conservative”.
Lynch would be worse than Holder.

Since one of her jobs would be looking into the crimes of Holden and since she is the founding sorority sister of Holden’s wife she shoul immediately remove herself as conflict of interest
This vote will PROVE once and for all, where the GOPe is taking this country!
That's what WORRIES me the most. They've caved on nearly everything so far.
