What a snob! On today's Morning Joe, Howard Dean, a product of fancy prep schools and Yale, suggested that Scott Walker was unfit to be president because his lack of a college degree rendered him "unknowledgeable."
Dean's disdain for the un-diplomaed came during a discussion of Walker having declined, during his recent trip to the UK, to state whether he believes in evolution. Joe Scarborough was incredulous at Dean's diss, pointing out that people such as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg never finished college. To which list could be added super-successful and knowledgeable people from Rush Limbaugh to Steve Jobs, among many others.

Thank you.. I’m sorry if it sounded like I’m bragging, it’s not what I intended. It’s just that I come from that place, where opportunity and the backstreet meet. We had nothing growing up and we always stretching to make ends meet. My dad was off the charts smart. He quit school to support his family and that limited him in life to a degree. He worked three jobs to keep us all going and rarely complained. At the time I couldn’t wait to get out and make a buck. I’m regret it now, but if I had gone to college, I’m not sure the rest of my life would have worked out the same.
Guys like this get my goat for sure.
I hate starting the day pissed off

Being a conservative, I’d say the Dean scream, Gore’s creepy concession speech after the 2000 election, and the crazy Wellstone Memorial/Party were the top 3 funniest political moments of the last 15 years.
The trashing has begun. democrats everywhere are doing their duty as good Marxists and are trying to destroy the opposition.
Well, I’ve got an Associate degree and I believe I am better qualified to govern that Howard Dean.
YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW!
Right... so a psychotic screamer who happens to be an MD somehow IS qualified, right Howie?
Freak.
Right on!
You and me both, brother.
It's an outrage a day with this White House and the clowns in Congress.
I am still pissed that our Marines were forced to give up their weapons in Yemen.
The propaganda value of pictures of that is enormous in the jihadi world.
Who knows what today will bring?
You did not sound like you were bragging. A college degree or lack thereof was never the criteria by which I judged a man. Accomplishments, responsibilities held, and attitude counted for far more.
And you have them in spades.
yea I saw that. It’s coming to election time and the media will ask the stupid questions again to Republicans and then make them out as nuts while ignoring the loons the left have
I think we need more non-degreed and non-northeastern elitist, liberal college graduates to get into the mix of candidates for our highest office. Might infuse some of that good old common sense into our leaders. All we get from the elitists is snobbery, liberal ideology, not leadership. And definitely no common sense.
William Shakespeare didn’t have a college degree and he’s still regarded as the greatest writer who ever lived. Imagine that.

Literacy tests were used to keep people of color -- and, sometimes, poor whites -- from voting, and they were administered at the discretion of the officials in charge of voter registration. If the official wanted a person to pass, he could ask the easiest question on the test...
Howard Dean; unknowledgeable because he’s a moron.
Mr. Dean, tell that to Bill Gates III or Mark Zuckerberg—both never finished college but both built up highly successful companies. And you should have asked Steve Jobs when he was still alive how he built up Apple (and rescued the company from 1997 on) to become perhaps the most valuable brand name on Earth.
One wonders why Howard Dean is leading an attack on the Democrat base.
simply stated - he does not travel in elitist circles, and is a threat...must be doing something right - good
Howard Dean is probably still p+++ed that the Communist VP before Harry S Truman did not succeed FDR into the White House.
