At worst they’re $2 bookmarks....

My boss was one of those “The lottery is a tax on people that are bad at math” guys... I told him at 180 million to 1 the odds were infinitely better than getting rich working for him.

My brother-in-law always went on about how most lotto winners were broke in a couple years... I told him that was because they gave money to their in-laws, and that I wouldn’t make that mistake.

Ask him what the odds of winning are if you don't buy a ticket.

LOL.

If I were to ever win the lottery, I wouldn't let anyone except my wife know and I'd swear her to secrecy. It wouldn't change my lifestyle much because I really don't have any expensive tastes. However, a lot of charities would be very happy at the substantial ANONYMOUS gifts.

“The lottery is a tax on people that are bad at math”

Without inept and corrupt politicians, lotteries can be a great means of funding various projects. Our founders used lotteries a lot.

Think of it an elective tax.

That was good--thanks.

You have good comebacks! I’ve made mental note of them for future use.

It’s technically a tax on those who don’t understand statistics.

However, on an incidental play like the last few 300+ million, what am I out..a few bucks. I could waste the same six dollars on a single drink at the bar.

It’s worth what I have into it...a small entertainment value, for the chance at serious wealth.

Most who win lotteries and end up broke, waste the money on hookers, drugs and gambling.

Yes it is. Lottery money coming in. 1/2 goes to the gov schools, etc... The other half to the winner! Oh yea the gov gets 1/2 of that to. That means if you win you get about 25% of total sales and the government gets 75%! And if you don’t spend it all before you die, they get over half of that to. Aren’t lotteries fun! Oops! I mean a great investment! lol

Well that's true. If you want to get rich, work for yourself!
