On February 8, a customer who ignored Sonics request that customers refrain from bringing guns to the restaurant was able to pull his gun and shoot one of three alleged armed robbers, killing him and stopping the would-be robbery.
Breitbart News previously reported that on May 30, 2014, Sonic asked law-abiding citizens to come to the restaurant unarmed. We also reported that a Sonic in Topeka, Kansas, was robbed the very day that customers were asked to come and eat while defenseless.

How does that old saw go, better judged by twelve than carried by six?
LOL! Speaking of which. We were at the grocery last night and some guy was packing what looked like a Glock in open carry mode. But his shirt was untucked and the tail was behind the grip. Since open carry is fine in NV, was he actually CCW but his shirt got stuck behind accidentally? Didn’t bother me in either instance. By the way, it was a Smith’s grocery store which is a sub of Kroger.
So the bad guys didn’t pay attention to the new policy...
..headed for that big chili dog in the sky
” I suppose he was celebrating black history month.)”
Well, he made history....
” better judged by twelve than carried by six?”
That is how I looked at it, when I carried in California.
I wonder if that restaurant is gonna change it’s policy now.
“Dominos Pizza has no firearms rule for its delivery employees, and as Breitbart News previously reported, a Dominos delivery woman was forced to drive to a secondary location and was raped, then robbed, in broad daylight on February 8.”
F*** you, Dominos.
“Gun Free Zones” are randomly in existence everywhere.
If I were carrying concealed, there would be no reasonable way to know whether the path I happen to be walking is through a gun free zone or not.
More likely, I suspect CC folks carry anyway, the operative word being “CONCEALED”.
“If 0bama had a son he would look like” the dead robber.
I request that sonic stop running those annoying ads. I will honor their request of me as they will honor my request.
That’s one way to look at it, but I like Sonic, so I carry and ignore all signs that request that I don’t.
Jenna said what? :>}
“Ignoring Sonics Gun-Free Request is like failing to breathe.”
What the whoozit?
“Yeah. This is an article in search for a story. He wasnt in the restaurant. He was in the drive thru lane. In his car.”
How it went down explained.

A few years ago the wife and I were in Ft. Stockton, Texas. We had seen all the ads for Sonic's on tv, but there aren't any where we live (western Wisconsin). So we decided to try it. We did the drive in and order thing and then took the food back to our motel to eat it there.
When we got back, my wife found they screwed up her order (wrong kind of sandwich). So she got on the phone to complain. They refused to admit any mistake and basically told my wife to get lost. Since then whenever we're on a trip and we pass a Sonics, my wife is tempted to get out the gas can and burn it down.
The ironic thing is that they got my order right, and it was very tasty. Fast food places screwing up orders is pretty common, but that's the first one we've experienced that refused to make amends for their mistake.

Irish?
Hmmmmm.......
LOL!
There was no request by Sonic that NON-law-abiding citizens come unarmed.
