Tuesday at the White House press briefing, press secretary Josh Earnest doubled down on President Barack Obamas comments last week at the National Prayer Breakfast, when he said, Unless we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember during Crusades and Inquisition people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country slavery and Jim Crow was all to often justified in the name of Christ.

The big difference is that Christians have evolved and made a lot of progress. If we are comparing Christians and muslims, muslims have made zero progress and are just as bad as the Crusades wars.

The Crusaders came out of the “Guards” that escorted pilgrims to Jerusalem to keep them form being robbed by that Mahamit bunch. Governments got involved and organized armies to go to Jerusalem to liberate the Holy lands form the Mahamit barbarians.

Doubling down on stupid doesn’t convince anyone.
The game is up. The tactic of saying something long enough to make a lie believable is ending. People have awakened. You won’t hear in the media as it continues its propaganda, but I hear it everyday from people who were former factphobes.

I can’t believe all the so called conservatives who have been conned into the “Crusades were barbaric” nonsense.
The Crusades were for a great cause. They were trying to rescue areas converted to Islam by the sword.
Did some Crusaders act unchristian like? I am sure they did as would any army in that era.
I can remember when “Crusaders” was a huge compliment and it still should be.

Once upon a time, about 700 years ago, Christians foolsihly acted to defend themselves against their Muslim superiors.
The Christians will pay for that mistake. Obama will see to it.

The Church did its part to initiate the crusades and now in this era we have Obama and his Butt Sex Crusade. FTR if given a choice I would take the original.

Even the Crusades have a basis of justification if one studies medieval European history.
In fact, today’s situation vis-à-vis Islam is justification enough to start another one.

itd be nice if he would restrict his ignorant and bigoted commentary to the current century. hell, how about the current millennium? Of course, we don't know what kinds of things Obama's ancestors were doing to their enemies a thousand years ago, because they could neither read nor write.

When he demanded that the crosses be covered when he gave a speech at a university early in his presidency he sent the signal that he was a Muslim. Islam forbids the conquered Christians from displaying crosses or ringing church bells in Muslim lands. When he was elected to fundamentally change America he and his Muslim Brotherhood friends believed they had given the mandate by allah to Islamasize America. Since he believes in Marxism as a tool of economics and control he is having no problem harnessing both leftist and jihadist to work together to advance his agenda.
To: ClearCase_guy
I wish I could say, well those Muslims 700 years ago simply “asked for trouble”.
Watch Mr. Obama’s nose get even LONGER.

No, the big difference is that the standard by which progress in this regard is judged is that provided by the Gospel — the equality of all men before God, solicitude for the downtrodden, mercy and forgiveness in imitation of God as shown by the earthly ministry of His Son — even if they are now loudly claimed by secularists who have no real right to claim what they have merely borrowed (or stolen) from Christians.
What you and I, and even our “friends” on the left call progress is called “apostacy” or “war against God” by Muslims.
