Here is a perfect example of government psychological scare tactics, and bully for the Sheriff and property owner for not only recognizing that, but for telling the thugs to take a hike... If the property owner is found to owe in court, then so be it... To give up rights because some desk surfing pen pusher ordered such an operation is worse than getting shot...

The US gubmit has managed to be the only thing in the multiverse that is more evil than Islam.

And both should be handled in the same manner.

And will be.

Until and unless this sort of resistance becomes widespread, we are doomed. Until now we could at least pretend we did not have an autocratic government. But with the advent of Obama and Holder, that illusion is no more.

We need to cut back even further on the IRS budget than Congress already did on its current budget!

Carter says the IRS is currently claiming he owes $890,000, a figure that “doubled with the stroke of a pen.”

Always get the FULL name of anyone you speak to at the IRS.

IRS needs to start policing itself. Garnish the wages of its own employees, Charlie Rangel and the rest of the fedgov chislers who owe taxes.

I got garnished for $300 by the local gov recently, for an unpaid fine for something I didn’t even know about (had forgotten, chaotic time). They did not contact me, nor forward a letter to the address I had sent to the US post office. Was never brought before a judge, was never contacted. It was the IRS garnishing me, and they had absolutely nothing to do with the fine, nor office in question. It was not signed by anyone in authority. My employer told me to take a hike. Once I told them that it was theft pure and simple, you should have seen this HR employees response. The person was ready to lick IRS boot heels on a moments notice.

A fine I gladly would have paid, if they would have forwarded ONE letter, instead of jacking it up from around $125 to $300 fine after fine tacked on. Right before the statute of limitations would have given me ground. Gladly would have paid it. I will celebrate like new years 9999 when the IRS is finished.

Was never served a summons and complaint, and conveniently the writ came 2 days before payday. Sons of bitches.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!
Solzhenitsyn

“How is that people who have been crushed by the sheer weight of slavery and cast to the bottom of the pit can nevertheless find the strength to rise up and free themselves, first in spirit and then in body; while those who soar unhampered over the peaks of freedom suddenly lose the taste for freedom, lose the will to defend it, and, hopelessly confused and lost, almost begin to crave slavery”. Alexander Solzhenitsyn.

How is it that Rangel and Sharpton continue on with their schemes and the IRS doesn’t shut them down? I know that is a rhetorical question, however it seems that they go on with life and this guy is getting slammed for much smaller amounts. It also seems that Sharpton and Rangel have the means to pay their past IRS and state debt. They may be living on welfare and food stamps if the governments took what was owed but that is a problem of their own making. What is mandatory for Kent Carter should be mandatory for Sharpton and Rangel. It must be nice to have connections in high places.

AS I understand it, the Sheriff is the highest elected official in a county. As such, the Feds can not run law enforcement opecations without the Sheriff’s permission and knowledge. There is an exception if they are investigating the Sheriff for corruption.

Consequently, the Sheriff can stop a Federal enforcement action.

The next time the FedGov attempts to illegally seize this man’s property, the sheriff should deputize about 50 locals and take the US Marshals into custody.
