WEST ALLIS, Wis. – An 11th grade U.S. Government and Politics student believes only a fascist would make the statement: “We should not help the poor, it’s a waste of money.”

But the Nathan Hale High School student – who answered that on a quiz – found out he was “wrong.”

According to the quiz, it’s a conservative who believes that.

“When I picked my son up from school, he asked me what political party did I think thought ‘We should not help the poor, it’s a waste of money,'” the student’s mother, Heather Bronnson, tells EAGnews.

Only problem with that is, the Leftist will never believe you even if you prove it with factual data.

because facts mean nothing to a Leftist, there is only the Agenda.

“I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.” -Benjamin Franklin

The answer to these attempts to brainwash the youth, is to demand a reasoned debate on Jefferson's brief but irrefutable discussion of how Welfare actually once worked in newly independent Virginia. The key is correctly structuring the issue--and persisting in doing so, until those engaged in the deliberate mischaracterization are finally forced to engage on the actual issues.

See Jefferson On Welfare.

I have found that there is an effective argument against virtually everything that the Left proposes--or has proposed--within the historic struggles of the American people.

American liberals will always think themselves “more generous” than others, no matter what the statistics reveal.

The corrupt federal government looks for constitutionally indefensible ways to make citizens dependent on the government in exchange for their votes.

They crow more about helping the poor. Those that actually do help the poor more, even through charities, seldom crow about it.

When speaking of public, I believe he means institutionalized government. Private charities have a better record, as their benevolence is purer.

Conservatives are the most charitable people in the world, but they don’t throw money away and call it charity.

The teacher should immediately be removed from the classroom, fired, and escorted off the property.

If we're going to "help the poor" with MY MONEY, I want to do it. I don't ask for anything in return.

I don't want some thieving DemocRAT STEALING MY MONEY and giving it to the poor in exchange for their votes. That's boo****!!!

Communism, National Socialism & Social Democrats (i.e. those referred to herein as "liberal/Democrats," all reflect a neurotic compulsion for uniformity of thought & approved social interaction. Whereas Conservatives celebrate the actual cultural differences between their own & friendly communities and nations--as evidence of actual respect;--those who seek to remake human societies, simply will not tolerate our differences. Hence they override the constraints of an American Constitution, or personal property rights; or the rights of dissent, anywhere they gain sway.

See Compulsion For Uniformity.

This reality is endlessly exhibited in the ideological confrontations of the modern era. It explains the Nuremburg Party rallies in the 1930s; the Obama stadium speeches in 2008; the antics of the ACLU in suppressing religious expression in the schools; Federal encroachment into education & health--always State & local concerns in freer eras; as well as the mindless spouting of the "politically correct" line in the mass media.

All of the mentioned "isms," relied on chanting mobs, rather than reasoned debate, to promote their sick wares.

Moderates are merely Democrats with another name, so add them to the list.

OK by me. On the far right of the spectrum I would place libertarianism or some sort of anarcho-capitalism, not fascism.

Who is “We”?

If “we” is the government, fer sur it is a waste of money. Most everything the government does wastes money.

If “we” is just me, then NO it is not a waste of money, as MY money going to the poor has strings attached.

If “we” is the church, then it is the church’s money and I have no problem with it.

“No human effort is needed to “make poverty an uncomfortable place to be.” It simply is — this is like the concept of making water wet.”

In most states welfare pays more than minimum wage, and about 15 states it pays over $10 hr. In a couple states welfare pays over $15 hr.

Yes, they are too damn comfortable!
