Thhe United States will appoint an openly gay official as a special envoy to promote the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people overseas, the US State Department said Friday.
State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said US Secretary of State John Kerry would “soon” make the appointment.
“It will be an openly gay foreign service officer. We don’t have a finalized name yet. But we will announce soon,” Harf said.
Harf said the appointment reflected Kerry’s “commitment and the administration’s commitment to advancing the human rights of LGBT persons globally.”
President Barack Obama’s administration has repeatedly pressed foreign governments on the human rights of gays and lesbians, systematically drawing attention to rights abuses or repression in several African countries.

I read that title and assumed I’d see a satire warning somewhere.

I keep asking why Obama promotes homosexuality. The only answer I can come up with is that he is homosexual.
I also ask why he keeps promoting islam. The only answer I can come up with is that he is muslim.
I also ask why he says such stupid things. The only answer I can come up with is that he is a freaking moron.
About 10% is left handed. Why don't we need an envoy to the left handed? Left handed people suffer from the effects of societal discrimination dozens of times every day! And there are more than four times as many left-handed people!
I thought the OBAMA administration was against the idea of pushing American values on the rest of the world.
They should make up their minds.
The halfrican resident is left handed and odds are also at least a bi-sexual as well as muslim. So that base has been covered.
So how much will we taxpayers pay for this “envoy” to do nothing — like the Ebola czar?
First stops in Iran, Saudia Arabia, Afgan, Paki, etc...........

If I were gay I don’t think I would want that job. Sure the western cultures might be receptive, but Russia, China, the Middle East, and large swaths of Africa would prove to be very dangerous missions. The stupidity that is the Democrats doesn’t even surprise me anymore. But like fingernails on the chalkboard, they always continue to irritate.
I wonder why we feel the need to push homosexuality. Considering that much of the world is not liberal on homosexual issues, is it really a good thing, to make homosexual issues a major tenet of American foreign policy??? Or does it offend liberals to even ask such a question???
So what are they going to do, go around the world offering their butt to everyone?
