Via Ace and Twitter user Niedermeyers Dead Horse, yet another tale of Brian Williams heroism on that fateful day in Iraq in 2003 has emerged, this time from 2007. Dont forget that the absolutely false version of his helicopter ride being hit by an RPG had been floating around since 2004, this time the story has even more compelling detail. Williams tells Fairfield University reporter Emily Fitzmaurice in November 2007 about all of the close calls hes had as a reporter, including the 2003 incident in Iraq in which he looked down the tube of the RPG launcher. Pick up the tales of Williams adventures at the two-minute mark:

Our news reader has quite a combat record ... he is lucky to be alive ... and he deserves the Medal of Honor!
Brian Williams is a major liability to nbc’s news department.
I wonder if they will be smart enough to recognize that fact.
Wasn’t NBC the one that weakened the roof supports on that Volvo that they tested for safety?
Interesting. This time he admits it hit another chopper, not his.
I navigated for Washington as he crossed the Potomac - Brian Williams.
You can’t look down the tube of an RPG if it is loaded.
Phew. Not hard to guess that “tube” is euphemistic language for something not quite military-related . . . especially in context with “looking down” said “tube”.
Hell, I was there when Ft. McHenry got pounded. Never bragged about it. But I did help Scotty Key write the part about “...and the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air...” He was stuttering and at a loss for words.
Then another time ...
Not for nothing but why all of a sudden the attack on this specific guy when ALL of the left wing media lies and regularly? Take a look at MSNBC for example, you would think you were watching The Onion tv show, I mean my God they even gave Al Sharton hosting his own show “Politics nation” Oh yes, where else should you go to get the truth but from a professional scam artist.

If they decide he's making it more difficult to sell the narrative, he's gone.
I think we're approaching that point.
A world known liar is the perfect mascot for NBC.
The good thing is that this exposes the load of TOTAL BS that Williams and his lib buddies have been shoving down the throats of the public for decades.
He is Dan Rather's successor and should get the same treatment.
Red, did I ever tell you about the time I was shot down in Iraq in a Helicopter?
While I don’t know about the Volvo roof supports, I’m fairly certain that it was Dateline that outfitted incendiary devices on pickup trucks’ gas tanks to get the effect they needed for a story.
Right.
I like that one............
Honestly I don’t know. There’s just too many news organizations that have done that sort of thing. There was one about pickups they had rigged/weakened and fuel lines. There are more than one example and I can’t keep them straight.
