Dr. Ben Carson, former Director Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital and author of “You Have a Brain” argued that the US should be “doubly vigilant” about vaccinating children due to the dangers of an open border on Tuesday’s broadcast of “The Lead” on CNN.
Carson was asked about a statement he gave where he said “we should not allow those diseases to return by foregoing safe immunization programs, for philosophical, religious or other reasons when we have the means to eradicate them,” he explained “We already have policies in place at schools that require immunization records and things of that nature. What we have to recognize is that a lot of people are put off when they hear the word ‘government force,’ and perhaps there’s a better way to put these things, but the fact of the matter is, studies have shown us over the course of time, that the benefit-to-risk ratio for vaccination is way in the favor of doing it as opposed to not doing it.”

It is sad that we are at the point in our Nation where this even has to be said, to be argued.
This is as representative of the US’s decline, type of suicide, as Obama being President.
While the outbreaks are in elite areas of California, there are more illegal aliens there as well. Seems obvious to me.
During the illegal alien invasion last summer, there was an item online that reported that schools had been directed to suspend the vaccination requirements that all states have. Where did that directive originate? Inquiring minds want to know....particularly since the Democrat media is blaming “Whole Foods, Prius-owning” parents for this measles outbreak.
Finally! Somebody is saying the obvious. How many of the illegal aliens flooding our borders are vaccinated against disease? This is like asking how many of them carry insurance while driving.

OK, Juan Valdez has not been specifically identified as patient zero. However:
Measles was considered under control, if not eradicated in this country, just a few years ago.
There was a huge influx of pregnant mexicans and illegal alien children this past year, by the governments own admission.
These aliens were kept in close quarters in INS facilities awaiting their general amnesty by obummer. Many third world diseases were linked to these facilities. USBP agents were whistleblowing on some of the cases and were directed to shut-up.
The majority of illegals are in kalifornia where the outbreak started.
Illegals are packing our schools this year and they have no immunization records from their home countries. The goodie two shoes running some districts are not enforcing immunization requirements for illegals.
The dims hammered Bush for not connecting the dots regarding 9/11. Now their heads are in the sand when it comes to identifying the source and attempting to control the measles outbreak.
They are obstructing any efforts of screening illegals claiming it's "racist". That term is now not only the shelter of a coward and the last resort for anyone losing an argument, it is also the preferred weapon of those who are destroying our country.
I’m glad someone is pointing this out. Let in a bunch of Third World people without screening and you end up with Third World diseases and medical issues. You end up with epidemics. All you have to do is look around the world to Africa or Asia or other South American countries to see what happens when your population has not been brought up under US health standards.

That can’t be true. I’ve been informed that we know that these people we know nothing about otherwise are leaving behind better health care than we get.
There are always a few people who are unvaccinated for any variety of reasons. They generally aren’t a problem because most are vaccinated. Now we’re getting 2rd worlders who have no trail and we know nothing about.
I’ve got an aunt who was exposed to TB a few years back while working at the hospital. She assumed it was the Amish in her area but it turned out that the strain she was exposed to is most common in central and south America.
