Christian Bakers Face Government Wrath For Refusing To Make Cake For Gay Wedding
By Todd Starnes
February 03, 2015 Aaron and Melissa Klein refused to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple, and now they must pay for their crime. An Oregon administrative law judge ruled on Jan. 29 that the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa did, in fact, discriminate in 2013 when they declined to provide a wedding cake for a lesbian couple because it would have violated their Christian beliefs against same-sex marriage. The judges ruling paves the way for a March 10 hearing at which the Christian business owners could be ordered to pay $200,000 in fines and damages. You cannot discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation, Paul Thompson, the attorney representing the lesbian couple, told The Oregonian. The entire time, I felt the law was very much on our side because the law is black and white. You can read the judges 52-page order here. Last year, investigators concluded the bakers had violated the couples rights to equal treatment in places that serve the public. State law bans discrimination against LGBT people in places that serve the public and that includes bakeries.

This all reminds me of the lawyers and activists who go around looking for mom and pop operations to sue over ADA accommodations, even if only slightly not up to speed.
James O'Keefe, please pick up the white courtesy phone.
Now your getting warm, this is intentional. The gay mafia is looking to make people affirm them. The days of being left alone are over, they will make you care.
Lesbians don’t have the ‘balls’ to try this on a Muslim bakery.
They searched out these Christians to destroy them. This was not happenstance. As I recall the lesbians had been there before and knew of her Christian beliefs.
refuse to pay the fine.
According to Leftists the Constitution trumps state laws...guess that only applies to homosexual “marriage” issue.
any Libertarians/Republicans defending these business owners????
Couldn’t the bakery have asked $1000 for a cake, and/or told the sinful couple they’re going to donate the fee to an anti-homosexual group?
You can't fight city hall in the courts...you can't win a stomping contest with elephants.
It requires some thought and strategy.
By Oregon's own Constitution:
Art I, Section 2. Freedom of worship.
All men shall be secure in the Natural right, to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences.
Art I, Section 6. No religious test for witnesses or jurors.
No person shall be rendered incompetent as a witness, or juror in consequence of his opinions on matters of religeon [sic]; nor be questioned in any Court of Justice touching his religeous [sic] belief to affect the weight of his testimony.
Art I, Section 34. Slavery or involuntary servitude.
There shall be neither slavery, nor involuntary servitude in the State, otherwise than as a punishment for crime, whereof the party shall have been duly convicted.
Why not just deliver a crappy cake? Burn it or put too much salt in it, the options are endless....
So. sex between other than man and woman is no diferent that masturbation or using a dildo... You might be able to define it as foreplay, but nothing more.
This should be THE point made in the defense of the bakery owners. They never denied service to the gays and lesbians. They make them birthday cakes and sell them cookies, just not a wedding cake. So, how can this be discrimination?
Fascism on parade. Again.
File suit in federal court. Now.
Indeed. There is no “live and let live” on the other side. Those who disagree with them must be destroyed - for who they are.
These people should have just taken their money elsewhere. Instead they want to harass them out of existence because of who they are and the life they lead. Sound familiar? The left always accuses others of what they themselves are doing.
I miss Romney already!
No, because there is no price for Christian principles.
