Two soldiers on patrol near a Jewish community center in Nice were wounded in a knife attack on Tuesday as France maintains heightened security measures in the wake of the Paris terror attacks last month.
One soldier was stabbed in the cheek and the other in the arm. Their injuries are not serious. A third soldier with them was unhurt.
The assailant, named as Moussa, was arrested; but two people who may have been with him were believed to have fled, a police union official said.
The attacker was carrying two knives. He was arrested thanks to the intervention of two tram workers who happened to be passing, and another man, according to the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi.
The attack, which took place in front of a building housing a Jewish radio station, a religious center and a Jewish association, is being investigated by anti-terrorist police.

We the soldiers not armed?
That would be distasteful in ever so politically correct France.
Unreal. Two soldiers stabbed and they arrest the ass. The Rhade yards I served with would have killed the SOB after some fun. The French are not to smart.
Not the first accident. Cote d’Azur is getting heavily infested by Chechen ‘refugees’ since late 1990s.
With a name like Moussa, I’m sure he the assailant is descended from a long line of valiant Gallic Frenchmen going back thousands of years!
Their security folks are usually very well trained and heavily armed.
You need to get out more.
I would think you’re not a soldier if you’re not armed.
I don’t get to Paris, France as often as I used to;^)
Sigh. Me either, buddy.
Even Nice is not so nice any more with all the muzzies making the place unsafe.
Perhaps they should import more of them to appease the ROP.
Perhaps the bright side is that this region could become the first part of France that will possibly begin taking matters into its own hands to end the problem.
The assailant, named as Moussa, was arrested
They should have shot him.
Toulon has been notoriously Le Pen, probably still today.
