“and if you don’t understand the difference between 1954 and 2015”

I understand the difference perfectly.

In 1954 we had as President a man who had led millions of soldier in a major war. He was an American patriot and not a coward. As President he didn’t pee down his trouser leg at the thought of booting out a few million illegal aliens. It isn’t tough to understand the difference between foreign nationals and American citizens and Eisenhower was capable of discerning the difference.

In 2015 we have a GOP that reflects the values of feminized sissies who insist that it’s too hard to enforce the laws against unarmed foreign nationals who knowingly break those laws.

So yes, I understand the difference well. I watched Dwight Eisenhower give speeches when he was President. And I can compare that with your pusillanimous scribblings. You are certainly reflective of the era of Obama- condescending and weak.

I just don’t get that at all.

I was unfortunately listening to Glenn Beck’s radio show the other day, and they were discussing potential candidates, and when they got to Jeb Bush, even though Glenn apparently opposes him, he said he’s a nice guy and he did a good job ob the Terry Schiavo situation...

I was like WTF!? SHE DIED A HORRIBLE DEATH, WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE DID A GOOD JOB!?

Now, I may be a bit of a crazy person on this matter, but if I was governor, I would have literally gone to war on this.

I would have surrounded the hospital with state troopers and arrested anyone that attempted to deny this woman water. Any judge that ordered otherwise would be escorted out of the state or arrested or...whatever.

I really would not care if i ended up in jail for the rest of my life over that, because what if she was my mom?

That is the worst thing that I have ever seen my country do in all of my life. I can’t, and I won’t understand it. it still infuriates me to this day.

And to Hell with her damned husband.

Ack!

Still, I gave Romney a chance by voting for him over Obama, I regret that vote, and I know I would have regretted his presidency had he won. But still...Obama is so awful.

I can’t say that I won’t vote for Walker. I mean, I’d have to give him a chance to talk to me, tell me what he’s about...all that. I don’t have a reason to just immediately say oh hell no like I do with Jeb Bush.

GOP sissies who insist that it’s too hard to enforce the laws against illegal aliens and that therefore we need new laws will find those new laws too hard to enforce as well. WILL, or lack thereof, is the problem.

After what every single RINO/elite/establishment type has done, there are still conservatives falling for this scheme?! It seems to happen every election cycle. It happened when they had Marco out there pimping amnesty for Schmucky Schumer. They’d swear up and down that as long as they charged them a fee, it’s not amnesty.

Shame on any conservative who votes for someone based on “it’s not amnesty,” because they’ve been fooled twice, probably even more times. How dumb can people get. Conservatives falling for this mess again deserve what will happen. Unfortunately, the rest of us will have to suffer for their naive stupidity right along with them.

horsesnit. If Eisenhower was alive today, you would decry his expansion of executive privilege, condemn his interstate highway system as federal overreach, and dismiss him as a rino.

Bush and even McCain said the same thing. Until they say, “I oppose a pathway for citizenship for anyone who entered the country illegally,” they aren’t opposing amnesty.

I totally agree, today, America may well not win World War II as we did and we aren’t blocking immigration as we should back in Ike’s time, no brainer.

while I certainly respect younpassion, I don’t think you can allow yourself to govern an entire state by asking yourself, “what if it was my mom?”. that just breaks down fairly early on.

but I totally agree with you about her evil husband.

How many of the pro-amnesty turds like McCain, Graham, Bush, et al have ever said they were “pro-amnesty”?

Walker is in the pocket of the Chamber. He may not call it amnesty, but he wants to give illegals the opportunity to stay and become citizens. That’s amnesty....even if the good Governor doesn’t want to admit it.

I ascribe to the Ted Cruz definition of amnesty, not to the Loretta Lynch and Scott Walker definition.

At least you're honest.

Sen. Ted Cruz also supports temporary legalization status in the immigration bill

So you are saying you are supporting this "temporary legalization which as the article says could become "permanent legalized residency" for millions.

Prove it. It’s not there.

it’s their problem because the Feds made it their problem — after they failed miserably at securing the border in the first place.

leave it to the central government to screw something up, and dump the cleanup on its citizens, who had no part in the debacle in the first place.

Define amnesty.

Legalizing illegals as this bill would do.

Support baby-killers if you must.

Perry, Walker and even Cristie have shut down Planned Parenthood. Something that these Senators have not done.

Let's see, Paul Ryan was the Veep Candidate, Walker showed loyalty, Cruz endorsed Romney before Cruz even became a Senator. I guess we will go through this every bit of the way.

I listened carefully to Gov. Walker's interview on the topic of illegal immigration from the 6:57 mark.

He said "we've got to have a healthy balance"; "we can't ignore the laws (and) we can't ignore the people who have come in"; "question: "is deporting them possible?" "answer: "that's not what I'm advocating" "we've got to find a way for people to have a legitimate legal immigration system, and that doesn't mean amnesty".

That sounds like amnesty to me. It all depends on the meaning of the word "amnesty", doesn't it? In my book, "balance" between our laws and "the people who have come in" is amnesty. Opposing deportation is amnesty. Finding "a way for people to have a legitimate legal immigration system" means regularizing (a Romney term), i.e. legalizing illegal immigrants. That is amnesty in my political dictionary.

These are precisely the word games that Loretta Lynch was playing with Sen. Cruz last week on the subject of illegal immigration.

If I were a supporter of Gov. Walker for President, I certainly would not be touting this interview to conservatives on the topic of immigration. Whatever his position is on the topic, what he said was, charitably, a confused muddle.
