RUSH: You know, it's amazing, 1938 is being repeated right before our very eyes, and what we're missing right now is a Churchill.
Instead of the Nazis, we have the militant extremists, the militant Islamists. Can't call 'em that, can't refer to them in any way that would be offensive or whatever. Just like back in 1938 nobody wanted to hear how bad the Nazis were. And in 1939, 1940, there was one guy, one man trying to warn everybody in Great Britain what they faced, what was dead ahead, and it was Winston Churchill. They mocked him and they made fun of him and they laughed at him and they thought that Neville Chamberlain had the answers, and they invested in Chamberlain.
Chamberlain goes -- you know the story. Comes back from meeting with Hitler and a promise that Hitler's got no grand designs on Europe. He waves that piece of paper from Hitler promising he's not doing anything. And the next day invades Poland and it's all over. Churchill had been vindicated. But because there'd been a Churchill and because he'd been on record explaining who these people were, even though people discounted him, the record was still there.
I mean, when I say there's no Churchill, I mean there's nobody in elected government now willing to go out on a limb. There's all kinds of people in the conservative media, Andrew McCarthy I think probably leading the way in trying to get everybody to understand what militant Islam is and who they are and what we're up against. People don't want to face it. They just don't want to admit it. It's just like in 1938, head in the sand kind of stuff, pretend it's not there, it will go away.
Yeah, might have some people here sympathetic to them, but Al Jazeera has just come out now said: We're not gonna call 'em militant Islamists. We're not gonna call 'em extremists. We can't call 'em terrorists. We can't call 'em what they are. We're not gonna call 'em what they are, and the regime is saying we're not gonna call 'em what they are, and we can't call 'em what they are.
Now, your guess is as good as mine as to why, and there are numerous theories that abound. But it's still scary as it can be. Because the truth is right in front of our eyes. These guys tell us who they are every day. These militant terrorists, not just tell us who they are, but they show us. They do what they say they're gonna do. If they're gonna behead somebody, they do it. They say they're gonna take a town and destroy all women and children, they do it. We're running around, "Now, now, now, we must respond with diplomacy and smart power and caution," and all this happy horse malarkey. It's right in front of everybody what it is.
"Well, Rush, it's never gonna come to America. 911 was a one-off. It's never gonna happen. We can't be policemen of the world," blah, blah. It's amazing how history repeats itself. It's just stunning. I mean, 1938, 1939, 1940, is not so far away, not so far gone that there aren't people alive today who can recall it who were there. There are plenty of people who can recall it who were there.

RUSH: Now, I'm hearing from elected officials, (who I happen to love and adore and respect), "Hey, hey, there are some of us in elective office who've called out the militant Islamists." That's true. I didn't mean to say that nobody in elective office is calling them out. There are plenty of people who are in the House of Representatives. Members of Congress are doing so. Man, I tell you, people are out there listening with eagle ears, if that's the way to put it.

No, it’s not 1938. There is no country or group of countries invading other countries with armies. Today’s enemy is not a country but a disorganized, world-wide group of terrorists who are determined to subvert other cultures from within. There is no head of state to conquer and force to surrender.
The solution is to bring US troops home, put them on our borders, ban Islam, deport Muslims and let them kill each other to their heart’s content in their own crappy countries. Institute a “pet the pig” requirement to board a plane. Close embassies in Muslim countries, and tell businesses their on their own if they send people over there. Tell the Muslims that if they target any US interests, Mecca is going to be hot glass for 100 years. Of course, none of this will happen, and we will continue to waste our good people and money we don’t have fighting futile wars in the Middle East.
Forget trying to figure out who the good guys are in their sectarian fights. There are no good guys.
