The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit says that the Israeli Air Force was striking multiple artillery positions belonging to the Syrian army, and that direct hits were identified.
The air strikes came minutes after residents in the northern Golan Heights reported hearing air raid sirens around 12:30AM (Wednesday).
No casualties or damages have been reported in Northern Israel.
On Tuesday morning two rockets exploded in the northern Golan Heights.
I am all for Israel retaliating. I am glad they did. However, I am concerned that a weakened Assad means a stronger ISIS. It would be nice if the Israelis hit an ISIS target or two as well.
One member of UNIFIL reported killed.

While UNIFIL is supposed to keep terrorists in Lebanon from attacking Israel, in practice the only thing they seem to do in these conflicts is report Israeli troop movements and criticize the IDF.
Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman called Wednesday for a “harsh and disproportionate response” to a multi-pronged Hezbollah attack that injured seven IDF soldiers on Wednesday.
As the fighting blazed on, Netanyahu said during a visit in the southern city of Sderot “in these moments the IDF is responding to the incidents in the north.”
“To all those trying to challenge us on the northern border, I suggest looking at what happened here, not far from the city of Sderot, in the Gaza strip,” he added, referring to Operation Protective Edge last summer that was launched in response to a Hamas missile escalation.
The prime minister concluded “Hamas absorbed the hardest blow since it was founded last summer, and the IDF is ready to act with force on any front.”

IDF has confirmed 2 of their soldiers killed, 7 more wounded.
I'm going to be careful not to get to excited about this... the Israelis go great guns in the early going, then bow to international pressure to "stop the violence."
That gets my vote. The Kurds are a superior people to Arabs, in my opinion.
The more they kill each other, the less we have to deal with. Hopefully they'll thin themselves out.
Arm both sides equally. If one side gains an advantage, arm the other side just a lil bit more. Rinse/repeat.
If the report is accurate in that the targets were fixed Syrian gun positions then I’d guess that Bibi sees an opportunity , in exchange for a little provocation, to move the Golan border a little more Northeast. Israel could use the farmland and he wouldn’t want to see that usable land in the hands of ISIS/Iran. It’s also a fine way to press the point with Asshat-—he can watch his flush- toilet- free zone shrink before his eyes.

I never knew this region could possibly get more complicated. One one hand you want Assad to prevail as he has done more to protect Christians in Syria than any other groups. But obviously Israel still considers Assad the enemy.

I don’t use the F-bomb either in typing here or elsewhere or live in person. I don’t curse at all. I am a Christian. I am one of those few who actually walk the same walk that I talk. Yes, like all Christians, we are all still sinners in need of a saving LORD. But, through His forgiving grace, we are all healed. So, I learned long ago after I was saved to quit using that type of language. It actually gets you no where in your conversation.
Like I said, I would a dropped 6 or 7.
They don’t second guess themselves. Why couldn’t WE have a leader like that!!
