More than 1,400 flights were already canceled in the greater New York City area Monday morning. Gov. Cuomo told commuters Sunday they should consider staying home in preparation for the storm that's set to dump up to 3 feet of snow on the city.

damn east-coasters taking all the good stuff... I wanted that snowstorm here in IN.
Found the 'snow haiku' we did at the time..after being in the house for days:
It's cabin fever
The snow is so abundant
I could kill myself
***
White is all I see
Puffs of frozen misery
Get me out of here
***
I wouldn't have thought
That joyful frozen powder
Would become my tomb
***
Flakes fall as I cry
I am one with my mattress
Goodbye, social life
***
Icicles outside
Mother Nature's ornaments!
Waiting to stab me
***
Nothing like a swirling mass of white stuff surrounding you..
Icicles the size of grandma..
Frost stuck to every piece of exposed body and clothing..
The fish go deeper as the ice grows thicker.
Snow forts pop up along the sides of roads..
ERs care for more of those injured by ice&cold than usual.
Governors tell everyone to stay home..
NO one listens.
Yup..nothing like a good Nordic blow..
Blinding sunlight here in southern Michigan today. 25 degrees will make a nice day.
Minniesoda native?
Cool. Dits.
Nothing like plowing into Hugh snow drifts or a series of them.. Like a winter sport for some of us big dummies.
Let’s see a TESLA or a PRIUS bust a drift or two a 20 below!
Got on the 7am out of LaGuardia to ATL this morning. Been feeling like a genius all day.
Send President Fumblebutt out to make it all go away.
Awesome! I clicked on the video.
It features someone reading the story, plus a picture of some airplanes in the snow, and some ads!
Stand by:
I’m gonna check out those ads again and get back to you.
Good for you.

hopefully this storm doesn’t measure up to all the hype because IF it does, the global warming crowd is going to whine about our doomed planet for a long long time using this one storm as their proof- Apparently, this planet is never supposed to experience hot years OR large storms naturally- They are still using ‘super storm sandy’ as their poster child for global wamring- now, if this storm hits hard they will be whining about a ‘massive uptick in big storms’
” Ive already turned off News 12 due to the idiotic, hectoring wail of an apparently extremely important person called Steve Ballone...or whoeverthehell. He is YELLING as if it is the final moments above the waves of Titanic. “
While Frank Sinatra sings “Stormy Weather”, the flies and spiders get along together.....
[[Got stuck in New Jersey for three (3!) days during the blizzard of ‘78.]]
We moved during a storm in the 90’s that was 3 feet in one storm- Had to shovel BOTH places in order to move out and then into new home- the deck in new home the snow was up to my waist- Apparently freak storms are never to happen naturally any l ogner according to global warming scam artists
[[I am curious as to how the alarmists are going to blame a huge winter snow storm on global warming. You just know they are going to try.]]
“Inreased severity and duration and damage from storms caused by global warming’
‘The Northeast will see increased severe storms”
“This was perfectly predictable, and while one would think cold temperatures are the opposite of global warming, We, the consensus of scientists, wish to inform you that it is perfectly inline with our computer models- and we predicted this a long time ago” (Of course if the winter is warmer, and storms are nowhere to be seen, they will have predicted’ that as well)
That’s how they WILL and ARe explain it
LOL! You musta stayed near a holiday inn express. Or at least driven past one.
"Stay home folks and keep yourself tuned in to our wall-to-wall coverage of this historic storm!"
Radar doesn’t look too scary. I predict NYC gets about 4-6”.
I remember in Boston, reporter Shelbey Scott was always the designated “Storm Stand Up” reporter.
It's straight out of "Breaking bad"!
Where’s Geraldo?
I’m 3 miles from the ocean here in MA. and we’re supposed to get clobbered. It’s all fine as long as we don’t lose our power but it doesn’t take much for that to happen.
I’d gladly trade places with you right now.
