What Bibi's 'Surprise' Visit Really Means
American Thinker ^ | 1-25-2015 | Ayal Feinberg

The reporting on the latest Obama-Netanyahu tiff has failed to explore a decisive geopolitical likelihood: Israel has calculated that Iran absolutely will not develop nuclear weapons during the remainder of the Obama administration.

For those who closely follow the relationship between Israel and the United States, specifically the tumultuous rapport between Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and President Barack Obama, it was assumed that the “chickensh*t” fiasco this past October was the climax of the Obama administration’s frustrations with Netanyahu. This assumption was obliterated however when Netanyahu accepted an invitation this week from Speaker John Boehner to address a joint session of Congress without first notifying the State Department or the Obama administration. Presumably Netanyahu’s speech will stress the importance of new sanctions and continued U.S. pressure on Iran.

Both Obama and the State Department are, unsurprisingly, furious with Israel. This has resulted in the leaking of information suggesting that the head of the Mossad, Israel’s version of the CIA, had urged U.S. Senators to vote against new Iranian sanctions citing the progress of current U.S.-Iranian negotiations. Whether this Mossad/Netanyahu rift is true or fabricated, as was suggested recently by the Mossad, it is clear that Netanyahu has abandoned any hopes of a joint U.S.-Israel strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities while Obama remains in the Oval Office. This is a game-changer.

Netanyahu seems likely to lose the upcoming election so he’s got nothing to lose by calling out the Obama Administration.

Netanyahu is forced to deal with the pseudo sophisticated narcissists Obama and Kerry who cling to their delusions regarding Islam. They dream of negotiating a “historic agreement” with lunatic medieval mullahs that will result in those apocalyptic loving maniacs obtaining nuclear weapons. Netanyahu does not have the luxury of suffering fools or entertaining fantasy. He is the secular leader and defender of the Jewish people. He will do whatever is necessary to defend Israel and protect its population however politically incorrect.

Obama IS a Muslim. Any negotiation with him (or Jarrett) is impossible. Only the Congress can have a positive influence on events now. JMHO

Obama is a Muslim, and he hates Israel and the Jews.

Correct. It remains to be seen if Congress will do the right thing. However, this is the first correct thing Boehner has done that I can agree on.

.....In 2011, during Obama’s State of the Union address, he received 25 bipartisan standing ovations. That same year, Netanyahu received 29 such standing ovations.

If Netanyahu gets congress to rise up from their chairs in March more than they did for Obama last Tuesday, Israel need not worry about the veracity of any partisan trending or its future cooperation with the next U.S. president—republican or democrat.

No doubt the left WANTS or even expects Bibi to lose, but where’s the polling to suggest he will? Re-patriating the 12bn in assets to Iran will help it stay afloat with oil prices, but I think BiBi intends to strike when his enemy is weakened. I wonder if he’s planning to take out some more Irani Generals.

Something odd about all this, you’d think Obama would
be angry at Bonior not Bibi.

If I invite someone over who you don’t like,
you don’t get mad at them for accepting...

Iran has been working on developing nuclear weapons since the Bush years. That was over six years ago. They were always just a couple of years from actually having “a” nuclear weapon. I always though a couple of years was the same as 2 years. Therefore, they have had time to develop at least 3 nuclear weapons.

If they did have “a” nuclear weapon, I doubt that they would have a press conference along with a ribbon cutting for the U.N. They would most likely keep it a secret. They would want more than one, so that they could spread them around to different places, in order to keep that one nuclear weapon from being destroyed. They also would want a reliable delivery system that could allow them to target New York or Washington, D.C., or at the very least, London or Brussels.

It is very likely that Iran has already 2 or 3 nuclear weapons, fully functional and waiting to be deployed. They were last seen working on a long-range ballistic missile. Once they get a big enough missile, they can put it down pretty much anywhere in the world.

Does anyone believe that Iran would make “a” nuclear weapon, and then just fling it into the air and hope it lands on Tel Aviv? That would be ridiculous. They would make five or six, and make it possible to hit Tel Aviv and then have a second-strike capability, or a backup just in case the first one didn’t do the job, so to speak.

Obama bows to those he admires... his own kind. He insults and humiliates those he does not like.. those he thinks are beneath his royalty. It’s a matter of control in his own mind. He’s good at insulting... it’s on his face, in his walk and in his words. He has self appointed himself as the only one who knows best. Thus, he preaches.
His words in his State of the Union speech was unbelievable. He lives in a fantasy world of his own mind. This is scary... for he has the power to do whatever.. When will congress and the media deal with this elephant in the room.

Well, of course. He is the leader of the free world. Sheesh.

Just guessing it will do neither, but he might think (or be willing to gamble) it will help him as Obama is not very popular in Israel. Might just be setting up for an American retirement.

Big Bump. Been saying for years. Iran will get the bomb, sooner or later. The will likely use the bomb when they actually have more than one. These Persians are radical but they are indeed clever. The last bomb will be to use as a looming threat against retaliation.

IMO, it is in that time of a nuclear detonation that the Western world will have the moral high ground to crush the Iranian threat with both barrels. The initiative of the retaliation will again be left to the United States. And, there is the rub. Obama, IMO, will hem-haw, stall and call for "peaceful negotiations". That is his role in all this. He is the enabler.

That's ridiculous. Bibi abandoned those hopes on the US election day in 2008, if not before. Israel under Netanyahu has been the target of a continuous stream of invective and disrespect by the Kenyan-born muzzie and his fellow travs, and has responded with restraint, while taking a proactive approach in forums like the UN General Assembly and the US Congress, and simultaneously pursuing policies of long-term benefit to the political and economic success. And occasionally Bibi et al have stuck a finger in the eye of Zero, Plugs, Lurch, and the rest.

Iran has had a few setbacks in moving forward including the sabotage of its centrifuge systems and some unexplained explosions at nuclear development facilities. Despite those they are only delays in their ultimate realization of nuclear weapons.
