Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) lambasted Hollywood liberals in a rambling speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit on Saturday.
The partys 2008 vice presidential nominee, who said this week shes interested in a presidential bid, took the stage with to Taylor Swifts Shake It Off, feeding off the energy of the crowd as she jumped from conservative topic to topic.
Her speech was replete with memories of her own trips to Iowa, but she also focused on one recent controversy defending criticism over the countrys top-grossing movie, American Sniper.
Palin detailed how she and her family were friends with Chris Kyle, the Navy SEAL whose story is told in the biopic about the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
Screw the left in Hollywood who cant understand what it is we see in someone like chris kyle and all of our vets, Palin said, referencing comments from filmmaker Michael Moore and others who criticized the movies portrayal of war.
Palin said the Oscar-nominated movie from director Clint Eastwood was breaking records because America needs a hero again like Kyle, whos credited with the most confirmed kills in U.S. history.
The Tea Party favorite also took shots at the Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, saying the country was ready for different leaders. She slammed the left for pretending to offer change but instead readying for a coronation rinse, repeat, Clinton, rinse, repeat.
Palin also slammed President Obamas government overreach, saying his executive actions when Congress didnt act were akin to being like an overgrown little boy whos acting kind of spoiled.
She urged conservatives, when considering their GOP candidates, to remember their bold, conservative colors, not pale establishment pastels.
Oh hell, the media have been on her non-stop since 2008 and have failed miserably in their attempt to damage her. Sarah Palin is still the strongest conservative in the country. She runs, she wins.
The real problem is the GOP establishment and the Republibots who parrot Media false narratives.
I’m no shrinking violet, no case of PDS, and not part of the “liberaly offended class.” I’ve heard Palin use the “screw this-n-that” on several occasions. Yes, she’s a tough talker. So was Margaret Thatcher. I don’t dislike Palin at all. I just get a bit of cringe when I hear some of the things she says.

For once? Have you paid attention over the last 6 years?
Thanks KC
LOL -- No, none..... Just an aching, burning need to kill, slay, destroy, and defile.

Hillary needs a nice, respectable, but very tired-looking 3rd-place finish in Iowa.
She needs help getting there. ;)
Maybe it's just me, but I keep noticing familiar MSM talking-head names from eg. "Washington Week in Review" addressing their wise comments on less and less prominent letterheads, from Megalopolitan newspapers to magazines, thence to policy and political blogs, and in the general direction of crank blogs ground out by Harold Stassen news/power-junkie types living in their own basements.
Is it just me? I was thinking of eg. Mark Halperin, who had to write a book to keep his name on the invitation lists.
obviously more than you or perhaps I have simply committed myself more to the Bible and Constitution than you have.
You contradict yourself. What of the 24 hour liberal smear machine?
The MSM would be too busy doing wall to wall smear of the Republican Presdential candidate while she ran for Senate. She wouldn’t be subject to nightly attack.
By doing a good job in the Senate, she could get big exposure on the national front. But, she would have to do a good job.
It could make it harder for MSM character assassination to work in a future Presidential run. Just a strategy. Look at it as “Rehabilitation.” Not a contradiction. As of now, she has no chance to win the Presidency.
Reagan did not shrink from running for office because of criticism; he had plenty. Any Repub candidate will have plenty.
We need a candidate who knows A from B and isn't afraid to go around the media to make the case.
That's Palin.
Except, for the fact she can’t win.
Yes, that’s what they used to say about RR.
Obviously...
