United States senators are now on the record on the question of whether climate change is "a hoax."
The Senate on Wednesday passed a measure stating that "climate change is real and is not a hoax" by a margin of 98-1.
The amendment was designed in part as a jab at GOP Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma, who has questioned the science of climate change.
Inhofe voted for the measure, arguing that the true "hoax" is that climate change is the result of human activity.
"Climate is changing, and climate has always changed, and always will, there's archeological evidence of that, there's biblical evidence of that, there's historic evidence of that, it will always change," he said on the Senate floor. "The hoax is that there are some people that are so arrogant to think that they are so powerful that they can change climate. Man can't change climate."

No, I’m simply remaining objective.

You’re not. You’re also all over this thread blaming oldeconomybuyer for distorting the facts.
“Never believe anything in politics until it has been officially denied.”
Otto von Bismarck
Climate change isn’t a hoax. The Cliate changes. A 4 year old can tell us that.
Let’s be charitable and call it inadvertent... it is still unfortunate.
And anyhow it was obvious what really happened. Who is enslaved to liberal dictionaries... apparently not me and SCP, among others. Not so sure about you.
They’re probably right about that. Americans by and large are a passive and apathetic lot. TPTB exploit this laziness everyday.
No, that’s not right ... you’re talking about “ANTHROPOGENIC GLOBAL WARMING” ... which is false and “politicized science”.
Global Warming and Global Cooling is indisputable, and that’s what is Climate Change. We’ve had Climate Change ever since the earth was here. That’s PROVENCE beyond all doubt!
The amendment was expected to fail, but Republicans parsed the words of the amendment, arguing they could vote for it but at the same time believe that climate change was not man-made.
Ditto that.
That is a redefinition that liberals have made.

It sure is. And that’s the beauty of it. “Global Warming” has been proven a fraud and a hoax. So they redefined it. Now they call it “Climate Change”.
Its still a turd - they just now put a pretty bow on it.
So if Climate Change is still the same smelly turd that Global Warming is/was, then how can you defend it?
I heard they were going to attach it to the pipeline bill ...
Let me know when you have actually compared what OldEconomyBuyer posted against the original article and then maybe you and I can have a sane discussion.
“98 Senators receiving some kind of kickback for plugging Global Warming/Cooling”
You should really understand the issue before posting such nonsense.
It was a convenient vote for Republicans. It allows them to say they believe it, or don’t believe it. They do this kind of thing all the time (e.g., vote against something in committee and vote for the same thing on the floor).
Science by consensus. Now we know for fact that we elected morons to congress.
“Lame gutless Repugs who voted for this climate change crap are as much to be blamed as anyone.
What pisses me off is this means even Ted Cruz is admitting Climate Change is real?????”
What pisses me off is people posting nonsense like this without understanding the issue.
Because I threw away the liberal-written dictionary that says the words “Climate Change” mean anything that the 1900 Webster’s didn’t.
Good enough for ya?
This just goes to show that every one but 1 in congress is too afraid to even laugh at this nonsense such that we cannot expect they will lead in any way. They are afraid to even shout down this bs.

Sorry I stirred things up with this post. There are always links to the full article, and I decided the paragraph with Sen’s Inholf’s comments made the point. He is a global warming warrior and yet he voted aye with an explanation.
