WILMINGTON, Del. A man arrested shortly after gunshots were fired near Vice President Joe Biden's Delaware home says police officers beat him up.
Fifty-seven-year-old Rock Peters of Hockessin says New Castle County Police officers left him with a swollen nose, rib injuries, cuts on his face and a black eye. Photos that Peters says he took of himself afterward show his face covered with blood and bruises.
Police declined to comment.

More and more like Guatemala ALL THE TIME....
Sounds bad.
Really, really bad.
Admittedly Off Topic; Rock Peters has a first name that means the same as the last. Rock = Peter or Petros in some forms of Greek. I know, I know, therefore what?
Try firing two “blasts” from a 12 gauge in the city limits, and guess where you will be spending the night.
that is disgusting and I defend the cops many times but this seems excessive and out of order.
That’s important information. Thank you.
Are we sure he didn't fall on some exercise equipment?
Unwise behavior...
Power corrupts.
A badge, a gun, and the right to shoot you dead?
Turns otherwise normal humans into vile, vituperative crease-wipe swine. Lesser forms of this same sad truth are seen anywhere and everywhere people are given power over others.
I wouldn't put too much stock in that piece of toilet paper. Cops will lie on the stand (committing a Felony in the process) just to convict you of a traffic ticket.
They all end up with the disease.
And where is Al Sharpton? This is clearly excessive force
Good luck getting on THAT gravy train bucko
Some victims are more equal tgat others. Biden has value way far away from the annals of gangsta land
Looks to me like some cops need to be fired. This is also a good poster ad for NOT resisting. Fight it out in court, not with a gang of cops on the ground in front of a cruiser. That fight can’t be won.
...It's for the children.
When was a TV show based on reality?
Police documents say Peters fled from an officer near the Biden estate in Wilmington shortly after Saturday’s shooting and scuffled with two officers.
Unwise behavior...
...
Yes it is. Running from the police is probable cause for arrest and if you go on trial it won’t sound good to the jury. The prosecutor will bring it up at every possible opportunity.
