My fellow Americans, tonight I want to speak to you about what the United States will do with our friends and allies to degrade and ultimately destroy the terrorist group known as ISIL.
As Commander-in-Chief, my highest priority is the security of the American people. Over the last several years, we have consistently taken the fight to terrorists who threaten our country. We took out Osama bin Laden and much of al Qaedas leadership in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Weve targeted al Qaedas affiliate in Yemen...
...This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years. And it is consistent with the approach I outlined earlier this year: to use force against anyone who threatens Americas core interests, but to mobilize partners wherever possible to address broader challenges to international order....
Well that was fast! Obama just release those Yemeni terrorist leaders from GITMO last week.....
They've noticed, they are building a 600 mile long fence to keep these critters out. I'm thinking it is too little too late. What's the over/under on when "Saudi Arabia" gets a name change?
Caliphate is happening.
We sit around an and do what?
Just a hypotheses. But it makes sense.
Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of Wahabbis.
Arab spring chickens coming home to roost.
yikes....do not ask me to take a test on that information.
Sounds good to me. Let em fight it out.
Yemen is very tribal in their society. I used to live there a couple decades ago.
Yes, but if we can encourage them to split and fight each other, the better for us.
This is why it's beyond lunacy for the US to be choosing which Muslim rebels to support.

Shia Houthi rebels are shelling the home of Yemens president in the capital, Sanaa, after seizing the presidential palace, according to the countrys information minister.
The minister, Nadia al-Sakkaf, posted on her Twitter account on Tuesday that President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadis home has come under heavy shelling since 3:00 PM by armed forces positioned over rooftops facing his house.
Hadi is believed to be inside the house, which is in another part of the city to the presidential palace.

Colonel Saleh al-Jamalani, the commander of the Presidential Protection Force that guards the embattled president, has described the events as coup. He told the Associated Press that the rebels who entered the presidential palace were aided by insiders and were looting arms depots in the palace grounds.
Yet another foreign policy triumph...and just in time for the sotu!
Sanaa na na...hey hey hey good-bye.

Yemen official confirms to #CNN that presidential palace there now completely taken over by Houthis & PM’s residence is under attack
>>Nope - just a random bunch of 'lone wolves'... probably Tea Party members... with deep tans.
CNN will probably create a news graphic with the rebel flag to cover this braking news....
AKA, 0b0z0’s success model!
If Shia terrorists, backed by Iran, take over a Sunni Arab country, it’s considered success that hastens 0b0z0’s capitulation to the mullahs bomb.
How do the Saudis feel about this? 0b0z0 must be getting a jug-earful from the Saudis, something we will never hear about.
There is good reason to believe damaging Al Qaeda in Yemen helped give power to Houthi.
Hasn’t BO/VJ named Yemen more or less an ally? Aren’t you supposed to rush in and assist your ally when they get hit by a coup?
