CRUZ: I’M LOOKING AT 2016 VERY, VERY SERIOUSLY

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina — Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tells Breitbart News that he’s “very, very seriously” considering launching a presidential candidacy for 2016. Cruz adds that he thinks a bold conservative needs to win the GOP nomination next time around, or else he fears Democrats are likely to win the White House as they did in 2008 and 2012. “God bless South Carolina. South Carolina has historically played a critical role in helping select Republican presidential nominees,” Cruz said in an interview here at the state’s Tea Party Coalition Convention: South Carolina’s central role has been ensuring that we nominate a strong conservative. And when Republicans nominate a strong conservative with a positive, optimistic vision, we win. It’s the pathway to victory. So I’m thrilled to be here in South Carolina. You asked about 2016? It’s something I’m looking at very, very seriously. I got to tell you, the encouragement, the expressions of support that we’ve been receiving have been breathtaking. I’ve spent the day just meeting with grassroots activists, sitting here at roundtables with Republican women, with Tea Party leaders, with small business owners, with young people—answering their questions, listening to their concerns. The support we’re seeing at the grassroots but also at the financial level, the support we’re seeing from donors who recognize what we’re doing isn’t working and we’ve got to change paths. Really it’s been humbling and it’s been overwhelming. When asked if politicians Washington—both the Republican establishment and the Democrats, including Obama—missed the point of the midterm elections, Cruz replied simply “yes.”

" Working for the GOP-E and the Democrats, I see."

LOL!!! I have to say, that's just hilarious.

To answer your question, I just don't know. I don't believe our increasingly stupid electorate is capable of electing a good candidate. I LOVE Ted Cruz. I'm just saying he won't win a general election.

I know they all said the same of Reagan, but Cruz isn't as 'attractive' as Reagan was, and isn't as good of a speaker - projecting a strong image. Reagan had 'it'. Cruz doesn't. I will vote for him, and with enthusiasm, but I WILL be proven right when it's over. Hate me all you like. As Rush does, I live in 'Realville'....

He has no evidence, all hyperbole.

It's the craziest thing. We saw the same weird knee-jerk reaction from some conservatives when Palin's star was rising.

Here we finally had someone at the national level who spoke straight from OUR hearts, yet some folks on our side just would not accept her on the team.

It really beggars belief. You'd think they'd be more happy pi**ing and moaning about RINOs stabbing them in the back. Maybe they are.

Ted will have a tough go at wrestling the nomination away from the established money managers aka the GOPe. They have their hands out to whoever bids them the best price. Yes, they are political whores.

I hope Ted gets the nod but if he doesn’t he has a good shot, perhaps a better shot at running as an independent. Because in 2012, Independents made up 24% of the electorate. But in 2014 they comprised an astounding 42%! (It’s true; look it up.) And Independents are not squishy moderates. They are persons who are fed up with both parties. They like Ted Cruz, a lot.

Another way to burn the one-way DC aristocracy is to join the COS Project (http://www.conventionofstates.com). Look into it. But before you do, watch Mark Levin’s Tour De Force speech before ALEC:

VP doesn’t need fire in the belly; look at Biden.

But the VP is close to the President in all things. So there is a chance to serve the President.

Gingrich has a fine, deep and broad command of history and Conservatism, as well as tactics and strategy. He’s great in a supporting role. Alone as a lead he’s not always a winner.

I see him sitting in the Oval Office with President Cruz and forming a rewarding working relationship.

Do a browse under my name and Cruz articles and the links are there. I work 2 jobs, so the majority of my posts are from my phone and I can’t link.

Cruz supports unrestricted legal immigration and has waffled on illegals like Rubio has.

Keep your head up. Stay the conservative course. ..

Sounds like you’ve had a hell of a ride, but it’s time for a new one.
Get behind Cruz and push for West in a supportive role.

We can do this!

Can't link, huh? Well, alright. I'll just toss your bleat about Cruz supporting amnesty into the circular file since you're incapable of backing it up.
