FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — About 50 military veteransand their supporters protested an appearance by Jane Fonda in western Maryland. The 77-year-old was at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick for a speaking engagement Friday. The Frederick News-Post reports that many of the protesters served in Vietnam and carried signs that read: “Forgive? Maybe. Forget? Never.” Fonda told the audience that she made a “huge mistake” that led many to think she was against soldiers fighting in Vietnam, and that it’s something that she’ll take to her grave. She says she understands their anger and that it makes her sad. Fonda drew the ire of many Americans when she visited North Vietnam at the height of the Vietnam War, leading some to call her “Hanoi Jane.”
It is precisely this kind of "apology" that draws out the anger in me. If she wants to apologize and have people even consider forgiving her, she should say "I was young and stupid, and was against the war and rooting for the North Vietnamese against my own countrymen, and it is something I never should have done, I was wrong, and will live the rest of my life regretting it."
Instead, we get a typical liberal apology: "I am sorry that you are angry..."
What a steaming pant-load.

I was in RVN in 1972. Had just come back when the POWs returned home and the bitch traitor called them “hypocrites and liars” for telling about being tortured for years on end.

When a POW insulted you rather than cooperate with your anti-American propaganda video, you told the enemy “Somebody ought to teach him some manners.”

The POW had pretended to agree to be filmed, and went on to insult Fonda instead.
Her quote was as stated above.
The offending POW was next seen dead in middle of a field with a sword stuck up his rectum.
When she dies -- may it be God's will -- I suspect the family will have her cremated and her ashes scattered, partly to prevent just that from occurring. The lines would be around the block.
She didn’t just pose for pix. She TURNED OVER TO THE ENEMY the written message slipped to her asking for help from one of the prisoners.

Dear Jane ( I use the term loosely). In April 1970 I was at Fort Bragg, North Carolina completing my basic training in the U.S. Army eventually enroute to Viet Nam. It was going to be my first weekend pass that weekend that you and your communist buddies decided to have an antiwar demonstration in down town Fayetteville. As a result of your sorry action my weekend pass was cancelled and I was restricted to base. For that action and subsequent acts of treason I have whole heartedly hated your communist guts. Since my free time continues to be at a premium even now I would like to schedule a time with you so that I may piss on you before you die as I am certain that on that glorious day that you do assume room temperature there will be a line that forms around several blocks to complete the same action. I think it would be a sign of your good intentions that you schedule premortum opportunities for my brothers in arms that did their duty and fought for this country to adequately express their heart felt feelings for you. She always has. As a former member of Young Americans for Freedom, I’m proud to say she hated us and tried to keep us away from her appearances (mostly with no success.)
