CORONADO, Calif. (AP) — Republican presidential prospect Ben Carson on Thursday compared the Islamic State group to American patriots willing to die for freedom.
In a speech to the Republican National Committee's winter meeting outside San Diego, the former neurosurgeon and conservative favorite praised American patriots for their willingness to give their lives for their beliefs. Then he mentioned the Islamic State group.

The problem is that them using such a truly misleading headline might actually result in people clicking through and seeing that he did not “liken Islamic State to American Patriots” but instead was making a clear point that they are willing to die for their beliefs whereas we are sacrificing ours for the sake of political correctness which is accurate. We can’t hope to ultimately win against people who are willing to die for what they believe while we are shutting down bakeries for not baking gay affirming cakes and stuff.
The problem is that we always forget that a politician MUST be able to project an agenda. Force of personality is important now. Romney.. snore. McCain.. snore. Mondale.. snore. Dole.. snore. Cruz, Paul, and Carson, unfortunately also.. snore. You have to win to have an impact. The charisma factor cannot be ignored.
It’s obvious what the AP is afraid of Carson so makes up this ridiculous story.
His gun control explanations prove that his ideology is not fully formed. It always scares me when a politician has a flaw in his thinking. It’s a clue that his stances are not deeply rooted, and it probably means that he (or she) will succumb to that natural gravity of Washington.
Indeed Ben Carson scare democrats. He blows up all the stereotypes liberal media heaps on the GOP.
An African American raised by a single mother in poverty rising to top in the GOP, they can’t attack him about the 47% issue or the race issue of white privilege. Carson has actually accomplished great things as pediatric neuro-surgeon, instead of making a lifelong living as a politician.
There goes Hillary’s lock on 95% of black vote!

“They got the wrong philosophy, but they’re willing to die for what they believe, while we are busily giving away every belief and every value for the sake of political correctness,” “We have to change that.”
Not exactly the same as the AP version: “Ben Carson likens Islamic State to American patriots”

Carson is not ready to be President.
I am pretty sure he couldn’t get elected to congress even in a RED State.
Maybe you don’t remember but Jimmy Carter had that same message when he first ran for President.
Only later did we see he was a Southern Baptist who was clueless about the world and antisemitic.
Out of context....if you read the article you can see the intent is NOT what the headline says.

Dr. Carson should have chosen his words more wisely and, no, he is not yet worthy of being considered as presidential material, but would make a great Surgeon General in a Pub administration.
The MSM is the Country’s greatest threat.
