More than 40 European leaders and almost every French official turned out for the massive unity rally in Paris Sunday — but there was no sign of the U.S.
Neither President Obama or Vice President Biden made the trip to Paris, although dozens of other world leaders and officials put ceremony aside and jostled for space amid the crowds in a stirring show of support against terrorism.
The U.S. did send Attorney General Eric Holder to attend a pre-march terrorism summit convened by French President Francois Hollande.
Holder, 63, joined with Hollande in condemning the recent Paris attacks in the strongest possible terms and said the U.S. will hold another terrorism summit in D.C. in February.
But his support apparently stopped there — because he wasn’t seen at the emotional “Je Suis Charlie” rally afterward that attracted 1.3 million. Across France, nearly 4 million people turned out in similar demonstrations.
As chanting spectators filled the Place de la Republique, the only U.S. dignitary present was the U.S. Ambassador to France Jane Hartley.

Obama's administration demanded that governments in Egypt, Libya, Syria, and Kiev (have I left anyone out?) allow protests to spin out of control. This led to the overthrow of governments and created power vacuums where terrorism thrives. Then you've got the drone kills which probably create more terrorists than they kill. And the US is still funding, training, and arming rebels-turned-terrorists in Syria.
As long as the leader of the free world, Netanyahu, was there.

Well, I can’t help but think that any time we kill one of these pukes it is good.
The drone strikes are about the only thing he’s done which seem to help.
Must be because drone strikes are basically covert and his ass doesn’t get blamed for failure.
Obama should have gone, but it wasn't on a golf course, so I understand. In his stead, it should have been Biden or at least Kerry.
Holder only went there to see how many Radical DOJ Lawyers would be needed to defend the terrorists
Actually Obama didn’t say “I will stand by the Muslims”. It is an urban legend.
But, you know that he basically believes it.
It would be interesting to know where he was today. Golf? Grounded? Shooting hoops? Drugs? Inquiring minds want to know.
That’s a rather odd thing for a “Christian” to say.

I always thought it was the line of succession, even down to the Speaker of the House if necessary. At least an august Senator, if nobody else is available.
None of which are American Patriots to be trusted (with the exception of a handful of Senators), and I sincerely don’t believe any of them were invited, anyway.
They didn’t invite the unknown French ambassador chick to rally, either.

You’d think Bam-Bam might’ve at least attended to commemorate the Muslim police officer who got killed.
There is no official protocol for attending a rally in Paris. This is just the Daily News' opinion of who should have gone.
In my opinion, Holder going would have been as big an insult as nobody going. On the international scene, our Attorney General is pretty irrelevant, like the Secretary of Labor or the Surgeon General.
The President, the Vice-President or at least the Secretary of State should have attended. I'm speaking really about the offices, not the Moe, Larry and Curly currently holding the offices.
So they exclude Le Pen and the Front National, but they call it a “Unity Rally”.
It’s to laugh.
The French didn’t want any Black Muslims at their march so Holder wasn’t invited.
