I always thought it was the line of succession, even down to the Speaker of the House if necessary. At least an august Senator, if nobody else is available.

None of which are American Patriots to be trusted (with the exception of a handful of Senators), and I sincerely don’t believe any of them were invited, anyway.

They didn’t invite the unknown French ambassador chick to rally, either.

There is no official protocol for attending a rally in Paris. This is just the Daily News' opinion of who should have gone.

In my opinion, Holder going would have been as big an insult as nobody going. On the international scene, our Attorney General is pretty irrelevant, like the Secretary of Labor or the Surgeon General.

The President, the Vice-President or at least the Secretary of State should have attended. I'm speaking really about the offices, not the Moe, Larry and Curly currently holding the offices.
