Obamacare Tax Stalls ‘Cadillac’ Health Plans (Pelosi knew)

**SNIP**

Requiring employees to shoulder more of the cost burden may undermine public support for Obamacare just as Congress, now firmly under Republican control, considers new ways to gut the law.

The tax takes effect in 2018, and employers are already laying the groundwork to make sure they don’t have to pay the 40 percent surcharge on health-insurance spending that exceeds $27,500 for a family or $10,200 for an individual. Once envisioned as a tool to slow the nation’s growing health-care tab, the tax has in practice meant higher out-of-pocket health- care costs for workers.

“I don’t think there’s any employer that’s planning on paying that tax,” Steve Wojcik, vice president of public policy for the National Business Group on Health, which represents large employers, said in a phone interview.

“It doesn’t help the company, it doesn’t help the employees, it doesn’t help the shareholders,” he said.

If you like your Obamacare, you can keep your Obamacare. I don’t want it.

>>Harvard is requiring employees to pay in-network deductibles for the first time this year, sharing in the cost of care, which will help the university reduce the premiums workers pay. That led to protests from faculty who called the change a pay cut.<<

Isn’t it beautifully ironic that obozocare was HATCHED and AUTHORED at Harvard?

Harvard influence and their racist anti-American admission policies have been undermining average Americans for decades. Ron Unz Publisher of “American Conservative” wrote a lengthy article about it.

Interesting how Wikipedia makes little mention of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Unz

You are correct, recently trying to change the definition of "full time" from 30 hours to 40 hours, trying hard to save Obama's ass and Obama is so stupid, he says he will veto it.

60 Minutes just did a segment on how obamacare had made costs go up. When Stahl asked about Obama saying costs were going down Steven Brill pointed out that the rate of increase has slowed some. And he pointed out that obamacare does nothing to control prices. I thought hospitals were limited as to the amount of profit they could make. Apparently it’s only insurance companies. He said the deal was put together by lobbyists. Brill also said “We can’t afford it.” I’m surprised CBS showed this.

Brill also pointed out that they white house was told they couldn’t control costs because it would never pass. He said “If you couldn’t control costs then, you sure can’t control it now.”

My plan was a nice Buick, not quite a Caddy.
It was paid for with PRE TAX dollars if you take it on the check, the marginal tax bite(fed,fica,state...) will approach 40%, and more if you make more.

Better to have the insurance paid pre tax; if you can arrange it.
