Romney or Bush: Who would you prefer if you had to choose for 2016 nomination? And Why?

Posted on 01/10/2015 7:43:45 AM PST by inchworm

I'd take Romney. He seems more like he is learning, understanding, and trying to be more conservative as the years go on. Bush on the other hand is floating ideas that seem far less conservative to me as the years go on.

However, CRUZ IS MY TOP CHOICE!!! Go CRUZ!

I’m staying home.

I see that statement all the time on FR.

Does it mean you're not voting at all, or just avoiding the POTUS slot?

That’s because she is a lazy closet liberal who has to prepare (i.e., get her background trash info on the eventual candidate from the DNC and/or RNC) so she can trash him once he gets the GOP nomination.

"How did Masschusettseseses's economy perform under Romney?"

It's going to be interesting to see if you get an answer to that question.

Neither one of these jokes! Why? Not a sack between the two; disgusting choices really.

I can't fault your logic, but if forced at gunpoint to choose, I'd go with Bush.

Romney has already proven himself to be a dud campaigning on the national stage.

So, I guess he's disqualified himself, rather than the other RINO, Bush, winning my vote.

Lord, it's time for new blood.

My Congressman, Doug Collins voted for the Cromnibus Bill. He also voted WITH John Lewis and Hank Johnson for Ryan’s capitulation budget. He also voted for Boehner and makes no excuses for it other than the standard GOP trash talk lies.

My Senator for re-election coming up in 2016 is backstabber Johnny Isakson. He’s gonna vote for an immigration Amnesty bill - count on it.

In short, there’s nothing, no one for me to vote FOR except Ted Cruz in a primary or general election. If he isn’t on the ballot, I’m not voting, period - I’ll be staying home.

I’ve voted for my last RINO or the GOP establishment.

"How’s that Republican congressional majority workin’ out for ya?"

You mean the one that started a couple of days ago? Great. There have already been a number of good rules passed and there have been good bills passed by each of the houses that are likely to get to the president's desk. There has been more good stuff passed in the last two days than have been passed in the last six years.

Would you rather eat a turd or drink diarrhea?

That’s a tough decision...how did you vote in the last election? You’ve got a strong stomach to know about such things.

I know Romney is not popular among conservatives, but I sure as heck wish he had won in 2012.

There’s no way he would be friends with America’s enemies and enemies with America’s friends. He also would have done a good job with the economy.

The world is desperate for an adult leader as the shadowy clown in the white house now is causing one crisis after another. The only thing that removes each display of corruption and incompetence from the news is the arrival of the next.

Neither Romney or Bush, I’ll push for Cruz all the way, knowing there will be major resistance in the media and on the left. He (Cruz) is the ONLY candidate that can save this country.

Which would you prefer?

Huntington's disease or Charcot's disease?

Bubonic plague or Asiatic cholera?

AIDS or ebola?

You won’t get any grief from me, I’m pretty much where you are.

What about the past Bush presidencies makes you say “I need some more of that”?

As busy as you say they are I guess its good that the Republican leaders got that budget out of the way before this session even began...I'm sure they plan on repealing obamacare and stopping illegal immigration next year, just too busy this year in spite of all the campaign promises.

This country is in serious trouble and the election of either Romney or Bush or any non-conservative candidate will not save it. (In truth, it's probably even too late for a conservative President) Give me a conservative to vote for and I will. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me eight times, shame on me. I've had it with these lying bastards.

Well I don’t play the “Party Says” game so I’d simply take neither one. A good Independent will show up.

I would write in Palin. No way I’d ever vote for that lying father of both gay marriage and Obamacare, Romney or that NWO, sovereignty and US citizen hating, Bush. They are both Fabian socialists. One’s a republican elite and the other is republican royalty. The US belongs to we the people, not those two libs.

As long as big money power determines our nominees and no one can come up with a way to introduce a viable third party, I will continue to vote for the person I consider the most conservative. Have yet to decide between Romney and Bush.

Jeb Bush was a good governor in Florida and I don’t want to hear that he did nothing to save Terry Shiavo. He did do everything in his power under the law.

My choice is still Gov. Rick Perry. A military veteran, patriot and skilled leader with the economy and American values.
