Romney or Bush: Who would you prefer if you had to choose for 2016 nomination? And Why?

Posted on 01/10/2015 7:43:45 AM PST by inchworm

I'd take Romney. He seems more like he is learning, understanding, and trying to be more conservative as the years go on. Bush on the other hand is floating ideas that seem far less conservative to me as the years go on.

However, CRUZ IS MY TOP CHOICE!!! Go CRUZ!

Just no.
It just proves that the country is dead if either of them are nominated.

My country tis of the, sweet land of bribery.

“Guess again, we have another place to go - it’s called staying home on election day.”

Now “that will show them!” By not voting you assure a RAT president. Just how is that smart? Good on you for disenfranchising yourself. We’re all so glad that you’ve shown the country that you are pi$$ed off, but you have done nothing more.

Here’s a new question. Why are people claiming to be conservatives arguing over what hard leftist is better for America and which to vote for?

No he isn’t, Romney is a failure that was driven from office with no chance of reelection, creeping off as a failure with 34% approval after being a disaster in office, Jeb Bush was a 2 term governor.

Why do you think that Romney left the GOP because of Reagan? Why do you think that Romney started supporting, fund raising for, and voting democrat and not becoming a republican again until October of 1993, after having to decide which registration would be best for his path to the presidency?

I refuse to vote for a Bush because of my contempt for dynasties.

This is exactly the type of situational ethics problem that whacko psycho liberals try to use to create cognitive dissonance.

Don’t play!

You are being treated like a child. They are assuming you are a child and that you need to be treated as such. Coddled. Spoken down to. Nurtured. Bathed. Given food. Given clothing. Given security. Mothered. Counseled.

“Let’s not allow another Obama or Clinton be elected. Whoever wins the primary(s) has my vote.”

Exactly! Romney is/was at the end of my list, but anyone here who honestly thinks we are better off with Obola II, needs to seek medical attention. And it could be that in 2012 we lost control of the Senate because of those “conservatives” who decided to stay home. So we may well have “gained” two more years of the Obola/Reid conspiracy. Adults have to make decisions, not sit at home and wring their hands over the poor choices available to them.

It is certainly no less a plan than not voting, or writing in a persons name who isn’t even running. My R congressman just voted to keep Boehner, I would love it if we could primary him, but we have all seen firsthand how those wascaly republicans behave during a primary. If we can’t get rid of him during the primary, the next opportunity is the general. Of course, just not voting is fine, but the outcome is more certain to just vote for his competition. Pretty simple really.

Cruz’s IQ is more than Romney’s and Bush’s combined.

Would you rather eat a turd or drink diarrhea?

I'm with you. It's a "$hit or shoved in it" choice if I've ever seen one.

How about offering someone who can LEAD?

Has it ever occurred to you that we have a ONE PARTY system running a non-stop version of Kabuki theater?

Who's "we"? Was there any chance that conservatives would control the Senate?

Of course it is, what republican switches to the democrat party because the GOP isn't conservative enough, is this some kind of new trolling game, to say such goofy things?

GOP congresses seem to act more conservatively when a Rat is president. (Not that I advocate not voting - choose the Constitution Party instead.)
