Peters said the plan for fighting war is one, you accept that you are in a war. Two, you name the enemy: Islamist terrorists. Three, you get the lawyers off the battlefield and out of the targeting cell. You accept there will be collateral damage, and do you not apologize for it, you do not nation build. You dont hold try to hold ground. You go wherever in the world the terrorists are and you kill them. You do your best to exterminate them, and then you leave, and you leave behind smoking ruins and crying widows. If in five or ten years they reconstitute and you have got to go back, you go back and you do the same thing and you never never never send American troops into a war you dont mean to win. And be as merciless as the enemy, if youre not willing to do that, they will win.

That sounded like Col.s Peters and Hunt were arguing 2 sides of the same coin.
Mongol General: What is best in life?
Conan: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
What happened this week let’s just say even the libs are starting to wake up and smell the coffee.
Amen
My take: 1. Have congress declare war on ISIS. 2. Make a new pact with the dictator of Syria (Russia can help with this) 3. Make it clear all states that sponsor Terrorism will be our enemies and face atomic destruction if they defy us or our allies. 4. Drop all aid to nations that are terrorist. 5. Tax all mosques in the USA. 6. Kick out all Islamic people from the army, Navy and Marines (once we did this to Communists—remember).7. Arrest all radical imans in the USA for Treason and helping the enemy. 8. Kill everyone it Gitmo. 9. Use nuclear weapons on Training camps in Yemen.
Allied air forces left Germany and Japan smoking ruins and killed hundreds of thousands of civilians. But that wasn't what won the war; beating the German and Japanese armies in the field did. How do you beat terrorists in the field?
Striking hard at external terrorism sources is fine. We also need desperately to cut off Muslim immigration into the civilized world.
Great article! I would just point out that, as much as GWB is criticized on this board, he is not guilty of starting a war that he did not intend to win. Many disagree with the war in Iraq, but, once it began, GWB put the USA in a position to win it. The unfortunate thing is that in 2008 this country elected a community organizer who was not only completely ignorant about foreign policy, but whose loyalty lay with the enemy and not the United States of America!

The women are not innocents...... they are the enemy
Death and destruction is the solution
A coalition of killers is required to spread the responsibility for the killing to assuage the feeble minded pacifists
Syria is the enemy and Assad et al must be dead before there can be change
We are taught there were two wars. There was but one long Gulf Iraq war.
Saddam invaded Kuwait and a long time later was killed. The war was continuous between those events.
Once Saddam was gone, the Sunni/Shia surfaced and the very ancient scores are now being sorted out. The radicals have captured that sorting process and will be destroyed by the Gulf Arabs
I think thats just wishful thinking. Maybe some few will wake up and be forever changed but the vast majority will just shut up for a few weeks.
Then they will be back spewing their crap like a ruptured sewer pipe.
Just like after 9-11... we were all one united in our purpose yadayadayada...didn’t take overly long for them to start their poisonous mewlings, IIRC...a few months?
This won’t take that long...maybe a couple weeks til they get their memes straight.
In WW II we were allies with the Murderious Stalin—He killed alot more than Assad—Maybe we can tame him so he would not slay so many? He was good to Christians? Its him or Al Baghdadi —who is worse? Its worth a shot—the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Consider our actual response to a massively greater attack than the recent events in France, namely the 9-11-01 attacks:
Yeah - well...I few years ago when discussing Iraq - he was saying something totally different...maybe he realized how wrong he was...I actually bought all his books and read them to study up on terrorism during my time in Iraq and finishing my master in unconventional warfare...uhm....pandering to the masses maybe...
(I personally haven't seen any sign of liberals coming around, but with prayer it could happen...)
