Great article! I would just point out that, as much as GWB is criticized on this board, he is not guilty of starting a war that he did not intend to win. Many disagree with the war in Iraq, but, once it began, GWB put the USA in a position to win it. The unfortunate thing is that in 2008 this country elected a community organizer who was not only completely ignorant about foreign policy, but whose loyalty lay with the enemy and not the United States of America!

We are taught there were two wars. There was but one long Gulf Iraq war.

Saddam invaded Kuwait and a long time later was killed. The war was continuous between those events.

Once Saddam was gone, the Sunni/Shia surfaced and the very ancient scores are now being sorted out. The radicals have captured that sorting process and will be destroyed by the Gulf Arabs
