As France wakes up to Islamic threat, 'far right' Le Pen surges

“Time’s up for denial and hypocrisy,” says Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s Front National political party. “The absolute rejection of Islamic fundamentalism must be proclaimed loudly and clearly.”

Le Pen and her party are routinely denounced by the establishment media and politicians throughout the EU as “far right” and “racist.” The demonization may have lost all traction, however, as two hostage situations play out, having a profound effect on French national consciousness. A report in Bloomberg Business Week by Angeline Benoit, Sandrine Rastello and Caroline Alexander well sums up the fear gripping the establishment.

The Front National is going to make huge gains over this. The rise of the right in Europe and the dissolution of the EU may be the only thing that can save Europe.

RE: ‘far right’ Le Pen surges

What the heck is ‘far right’? Somebody who wants a rational immigration policy? That’s extreme now?

It’s all about hijacking the language. The stock in trade of the left.

Yes, it is considered extreme to support rational immigration policies.

Personally I think the Saudi’s are behind the push to support muslim immigration. All part of their play to push radical Islam.

France has “no go” zones. That means they have surrendered territory to invaders much as Pakistan has. A return to tribalism.

Defend the homeland or suffer the consequences of war and secession.

I think a lot of Europeans are losing their fear of supporting parties that are mischaracterized by the left as “far right.” The lie that wanting to protect your country from dangerous aliens is shameful is losing its effect. I think many of our own voters are ready to reach that conclusion, as well, but unfortunately they don’t have anyone to vote for with both parties in the pockets of the invasion lobby.

Exactly and even if there are some unfavorable elements in a party is a far left party better than far right provided they are of course not neonazis or some such? It seems to me that the far left has done grave damage to culture and governance.

I wish I knew more about the politics of Europe. Le Pen, I've heard good and bad things about her.

What I truly wish for is a spiritual awakening in Europe and America. (actually, all over the world.)

LePen is the only one who can shake things up from the current Status Quo.

I agree and eventually here we will have a politician/party arise that will tap into the justifiable angst in the electorate. Both the main parties here are defending the political status quo and their own hopes to wield power and they see immigrants as a way to dilute people like you and I. Obama’s desire to transform America is not unique he’s just the most bold. Sadly its almost become a choice between communists or fascist corporatists.

Pray America is waking

Unfortunately, that won't happen until there is another major Islamic terrorist attack on this country, and Obama is forced to drop all pretense as to which side he is really on.

La Penn has said some things that are politically incorrect but she is no Nazi. I’ve followed French politics regularly for some time.

No mortal politician is going to save the world. I think we can take that as a given.

The interest in Le Pen certainly reflects the new French mood. They resent this attack far more than they resent the aggressively irreverent Charlie Hebdo magazine.

God can use all manner of circumstances to raise awareness. Evangelists should try not to be asleep at the wheel.

That's better.

She even qualifies her own opposition as being to “Militant” Islam which is a limit a lot of Freepers do not observe.

I think a Le Pen administration would keep these jihadists on sharp notice that they are being watched and any mischief means out they go.
