If you took the over on 19 votes, you won! There were 25 defectors on the Speaker, a number tantalizingly close to the 29 they needed. But then, that makes sense:

Does it?
I remember 2012.
I fear for the future of this Nation...Congress is all for themselves, even though the republican took control...will mean nothing...
BY THE WAY, OLD HARRY REID DIDN'T MAKE IT BACK TO D.C. AFTER HIS ‘SO CALLED ACCIDENT’ AND HIS HANDLERS SAID ‘HE WILL BE IN D.C. ON TUESDAY!!! LMAO...WE ALL KNEW HE WOULDN'T AND THAT ACCIDENT IS ALL BULL...THE OLD DUDE TRIPPED AND FELL...
I will be resigning very soon from the republican socialist party (RSP).
Myself I believe what really hurts Conservatism is voting for people in the Socialist Lite Party.
Stay the course?
Why?
Stuck on Stupid
Disconnected from Reality
Just what the country doesn’t need more of.
Thanks for the enhanced version. I am more disgusted now than in 1/09.
This thing is corrupt to the core. There is no repair.
Boner/piglousy? Same thing. I have no idea what to do except just watch safely from deep within enemy lines (Broward country, FL).
@#$%^&*! Uni-Party! Grrrrr!
I see you get it. I get it too.
Someone got list of who voted against Boehner and who did not?
It is more important that he retain his committee position to go after the White House and the Cabinet, than to make a show vote that would never prevail.”
No it's not. I watched the one day hearing on Benghazi he had before the election. He gave the Dems cover. It was all about what they needed to do so that it won't happen again. It could as easily been Darrell Issa for all the good he did.
That's the day I decided Nikki Haley, the SC governor, made the right choice when she nominated Tim Scott to fill the Senate seat instead of Trey Gowdy.
Even worse, only a half dozen out of more than 200 GOP congressman voted for a speaker who doesn’t support amnesty.
The game and country are done for.
Remaining in the republican party now will only ensure that a true conservative will NEVER be elected for any elected office.
Time for real hope and change.
GOP voted No or Present:
The Republicans who voted against Boehner were Reps. Justin Amash (Mich.), Rod Blum (Iowa), Dave Brat (Va.), Jim Bridenstine (Okla.), Curt Clawson (Fla.), Scott DesJarlais (Tenn.), Jeff Duncan (S.C.), Chris Gibson (N.Y.), Louie Gohmert (Texas), Paul Gosar (Ariz.), Scott Garrett (N.J.), Tim Huelskamp (Kan.), Walter Jones (N.C.), Steve King (Iowa), Thomas Massie (Ky.), Mark Meadows (N.C.), Richard Nugent (Fla.), Gary Palmer (Ala.), Bill Posey (Fla.), Scott Rigel (Va.), Marlin Stutzman (Ind.), Randy Weber (Texas), Daniel Webster (Fla.) and Ted Yoho (Fla.).

Business as usual . . . The midterms gave us a false sense of hope . . .
The GOP wishes this was just a tempest in a tea pot, they will see the fruits of their mendacity when Conservatives deny them the Presidency in 2016.
FL wins with (5).
Should move there. It’s just across the state from zombieland (Broward county)
More sellouts, and now the retaliation will begin against those who voted against him. We can expect more capitulations to O now, and now the American public will suffer as a result.
Yep. Keep voting for the Rhinos because they are less disgusting the dems and see what we got.
They should form the Conservative Caucus.
