Two NYPD officers have been shot in the Bronx, police say.
It's not clear what led to the shooting on East 184th Street in the Fordham section shortly after 10:30 p.m.
The officers were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and are expected to be OK, the NYPD said.
A law enforcement source said it appears one officer was shot in the back and the other shot in the elbow.

Hear, Hear!!
If it’s not war, I sure wouldn’t know what else to call it.
Did you mean assassination? Assignation means something very different.
Are there any ROEs?

ROE are antithetical to nWAR.
Very good point...
Reminds me of what Giuliani said when people said the kids on the subway that Bernie Goetz fired on only had a screwdriver: something like “Only a screwdriver? How would like one of those in your brain?”
The Mayor of NY ought to be happy the cops are turning their backs toward him, much harder to take proper aim that way.
URRRAH
Thank you for clarifying that. We conservatives do not need to fall into the race war trap the left has been busy setting for us.
Are all cops "jackbooted thugs?" Of course not. Most are not. Just people trying to do their best at a tought job
Are these cops "jackbooted thugs?" I have no idea, but statistically speaking it's unlikely.
For some obscure reason, some people think that if we support "cops" as a group, we must support every action done by every cop.

Throught history, mere 'declarations' of war, or the lack thereof, have done little or nothing to halt determined aggression.
But you knew that.
“This is War, bring it on, you aint going to win this.”
How is it “war” when plain-clothes policemen are shot, but it’s “crime” when a couple of regular schmoes are shot?
Hope they recover fully. Your level of hyperbole is part of the problem. It’s “war” only when police get shot?
You can blame the media, DeBlasio, Holder, Obama, and whomever else, and you’d be justified - but then adding your own hyperbole on top - falling for the line that makes the death or injury of a cop so much more noteworthy than the death or injury of anyone else under identical circumstances.
I saw what you did there...
ok thanks
I realize that we’re not supposed to admit it here - but that city is a BLAST to visit. I have relatives nearby and go whenever possible. I also enjoy visiting Los Angeles and San Francisco...but then my list starts to quickly dry up.
So what of the declarations by the NYC Police Union, and some here in the thread? What will they do to halt these aggressors?
Were there any ROE against the Nazis when Hitler’s people were rendered powerless? That’s what we are heading towards.
