John Boehner epitomizes all that is wrong with the Republican Establishment. Boehner has thwarted every plan to overturn or ameliorate the most heinous aspects of Obama's neo-tyrannical rule.
These days, I like to call Boehner Crying Cheeto. That is because he is an odd orange- or yellow-color, and cries at the drop of a hat.
Boehner started, seemingly, on the right track. He was helpful in engineering the Contract with America in 1994, which helped propel Newt Gingrich to the position of the Chairman of the House. He quickly turned, however, and was involved in an unsuccessful attempt to unseat Gingrich in 1997. Over time, it became clear that though he largely voted along conservative lines, that he was drifting left.
In 2001, he partnered with the odious Ted Kennedy to push the 'No Child Left Behind' act, which greatly expanded the Federal role in local educational efforts, which set the stage for the introduction of the mathematically-illiterate and highly liberal agenda-setting standard known as 'Common Core'.
In 2004, he started to show pro-illegal leanings, by voting NO on reporting illegal aliens who receive hospital treatment.
In 2011, he was becoming a full-on Obama sycophant, declaring -- for example -- that the TARP program is a "crap sandwich", but he voted for it anyway.
Finally, in 2014 and 2015, he came out as a closet "Progressive Republican" (Read: Democrat) all along. The Crying Cheeto has acted just like a Democrat, or has favored funding Democrat initiatives, in the following ways:
It has become glaringly obvious that Boehner is not a man 'on our team' that we disagree with. Conservatives need to understand that the Crying Cheeto is an adversary intent on thwarting the change they came to Washington to bring. It is that simple.
I urge you to contact your Representative on Monday, January the 5th, and urge your House member to vote AGAINST John Boehner, and for Louie Gohmert instead. We can tip the balance. This will spell out America's future.
The vote is on Tuesday. Act on Monday.
It ain’t easy being cheesy. Freepers know.
There is nothing worse than a wiskey soaked country clubbing Cheeto.
The original version sans faggotry but in this case it might be apropos.
I rather like Cheetos. They’re good with a nice glass of cold beer.
However, I have had all I can take from the crying, lying, traitorous cheeto who has become partners with the wannabe despot in the white house.
I’ll be burning up the lines all day tommorrow. I pray Gohmert is prepared to lead.
it will be tough. speaker of the house is a powerful position. boner has plenty of plum committee assignments to buy the votes he needs to remain speaker
Will do. Michelle Bachmann may be on her way out, but this will be a good test for her replacement.... Tom Emmer
Democrats called the “Contract for America” a “contract on America” & GOP didn’t win in 1994 because of the “contract”, but because they perceived Democrat Congress from 1992-1994 as being “too liberal”. Republicans still believe that they lost the 1992 presidential election because HW Bush raised taxes, except for the fact that Ross Perot got 19% of the vote pushing a 50 cent gas tax in 1992 & Clinton said he was going to “balance the budget, but not on the backs of the poor or middle class” (ie, tax increase only on the “rich”)...So even after Bush raised the top tax rate top rate to 31% from 28%-——two candidates in 1992 pushing for even more tax increases got 63% of the vote, compared with HW Bush getting just 37% of the 1992 vote.
In 1994, it was NOT the “contract for America” that got a GOP Congress. And Bush did not lose in 1992 because “the base stayed home”, same as Romney didn’t lose in 2012 because the “base” didn’t vote. Bush lost because he appeared old & tired, because Murphy Brown & the press frightened people into voting against “Dan Quayle is just a heartbeat away from the presidency”, because of rumors/doubts created about the Gulf War & Gulf War Syndrome......and because HW Bush got elected on Reagan’s coat-tails when Reagan was still popular, but when the Savings & Loan crisis happened with a recession, bailouts, jailed bankers such as Chip Keating ..the Reagan coat-tails no longer existed for Bush...and people were concerned about “deficits” from low taxes.
And Romney lost because nobody wanted his economic plan of more military spending, more tax cuts for the rich, zerp percent capital gains taxes, major cuts to Medicare & Social Security & federal jobs....against trillion dollar deficits. Romney lost what should have been an easy election to win-—and NOT because voters believed he was too “moderate” or “liberal”.
The fact is that most voters aren’t very political & didn’t know what even was in the “contract for America” but they had a vague perception in 1994 that Democrat Congress under Clinton was too liberal—and with the ascendency of conservative talk radio with Rush LImbaugh at the top of the chain——GOP got to speak for itself for the first time & became less frightening to people in the early 1990s...Rush & others succeeded both in making people laugh & making people like Republicans & laugh at/fear Democrats. It worked—same as Democrats turned things around by 2006 with John Stewart & Stephen Colbert. GOP forgets that Rush Limbaugh & Newt Gingrich BOTH had very public falls—which greatly affected public perception of them & the party which they were leaders of. Sean Hannity has not been as good as Rush Limbaugh was in the 1990s to gain popularity for the GOP. He lacks Rush’s humor, his good will, his confidence, & even his intelligence. And since Murdock bought the Wall Street Journal & gave Carl Rove a column on its editorial page, the WSJ has lost a lot of the influence it had in the 1990s & early 2000s. The party has split at least 4 different directions & no candidate has come close to bringing the party together again as Reagan did...and even as Nixon did before him.
DONE.
Can I just say...this is when you hate the internetz. I found a pic of Boehner as a Cheeto smoking a hookah, but it was encrypted, so I couldn't post it. Sigh.
....too much hitting.....
“I urge you to contact your Representative “
I’m in NJ and have the liberal Frank Pallone for congressman. Any suggestions?
whrn you are trying to make a serious point, the childish “crying Cheeto” and that asinine picture seriously detracts from your point....Hard to take you serious from then on...
Then move on. Other people like my approach.
Stupid question: dems don’t vote for speaker, do they?

Misspelling "When" and not capitalizing the misspelled "When" kind of takes the glimmer off of your asinine post.
Ya see, many folks here actually have a sense of humor.
The Crying Cheeto!
Hahahahahahahahahaha! I love it!
Guy is a jackass
Yeah. I am from the PRM (People’s Republic of Massachusetts), so I feel like a spectator here as well.
