WATERTOWN, N.Y. Elise Stefanik, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, has never held elected office, but her résumé looks more like that of a Beltway insider than a political newcomer.
By the time she won her seat representing a swath of upstate New York in the November election, she had served as a domestic policy aide for former President George W. Bush , a policy director for former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty s 2012 presidential campaign and head of debate preparation for vice-presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan .

Yes, it IS cowardice not to state her positions on the real HOT issues, that is, same-sex unions. She will either learn or leave Congress.
YOU sound heavily laced with backbone. You ought to think about running for office yourself.
WHEN will we STOP qualifying every. single. thing.
Oldest. Youngest. First black this. First woman that. First openly homosexual.
I hope that someday before I die our country will not make an issue over race/gender/etc.
The politics of division at its finest.
Republican, 31 years old, elected in New York, hasn’t been sworn in yet, but it’s *obvious* she’s what’s wrong in Washington. /s
“I favor posting ad hominems on anonymous Internet forums about folks not in the discussion.”
Then maybe you and your delicate sensibilities need to leave the Internet completely least they make you cry.
“WHEN will we STOP qualifying every. single. thing.”
Dittos! She is an elected representative in the US Congress and we need to hold her to that. THAT position outweighs every single other property of her existence. I couldn’t care less about what or who she is, I care about what she represents in our Congress.
“Personally insulting people is a SURE-FIRE way for making SURE that they will NOT change and WILL dig in...just to spite YOUR nastiness. “
BS. THAT position has led to this Dr. Spock non-accountability that has ruined this country. No one has to fear personal losses because no one has to face so much as a harsh word.
This non-accountability viewpoint means they don’t have to listen to your idiotic viewpoints because they know you don’t have the backbone to hold them accountable. You are afraid to so much as upset them with an unkind word.
You are no doubt someone that won’t spank a child for fear that your intellectual reasoning with a screaming 2 year old will be compromised and an angry child who just got spanked won’t listen. Guess what, that isn’t how it actually works in the real world.
To bring Christianity into this is your arrogance and Pride that very un-Christian. Being pious is not Christian.
Well, she probably knows where the ladies room is anyway.
“Republican, 31 years old, elected in New York, hasnt been sworn in yet, but its *obvious* shes whats wrong in Washington. /s”
What does her age have to do with how she is held accountable as a congressional representative? She asked for the job, she was elected for the job, she will be held accountable for that job. She is not a 2 year old, she is an adult.
Second, we don’t have to wait to be screwed to know the positions she is holding will screw us. I don’t need someone holding a gun to my head to actually pull the trigger and blow my brains out to know I need to action first.
She refuses to state her positions, is propped up by the likes of Bonehead, and has no real world experience outside of DC. Do I really need to wait to see how she might act to know what she will most likely do? How many years of screwing us over do we have top wait before holding judgment? We can judge her by what she has already presented. If she doesn’t like our judgment then it is her responsibility to present a differing set of facts.
Just how old does she need to be before you stop quoting her age in some retarded reasoning that we shouldn’t judge her? 50 years old? 75 years old? Her age is of no consequence in this matter. Only the mere fact that she is a representative matters.
Ignore half of all voters.
Abort half of all pregnancies.
Confiscate half of all guns.
Limit half of all speech.
Tax (at least) half of all income.
Lose half of all wars.
While:
Making no waves.
Offending no senior colleagues.
Opposing no major donors.
Deporting no illegals.
Cutting no spending.
Eliminating no programs.
Do nothing, never, ever, no-ways to change the ways and means of Washington except to further its cancerous growth.
Speaking of Boneheads, pick a better strawman.
Her age is her age, its only pertinence is that she doesn’t have much history, political or otherwise.
Since you say she refuses to state her positions — and I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt on that — and yet, psychic-call-line-style, you claim that “the positions she is holding will screw us.”
This nice woman, this well-connected RINO Dealmaker, will be in Congress for another 50 years.
(a)Watertown is fairly safe Republican Territory, IIRC. Great old town with lots of money, and a mercifully low non-white population to worry about. Leave-it-to-Beaverville.
(b) She will ALWAYS have the female vote
(c) The ladies love this "Middle of the Road, Play together Nicely, Share, Spend more on "Education," Gun Control" crap. That's why they love RINO's. In fact, IMNVHO, the Ladies' Vote is one of the main reasons RINOs are alive and well!
Relax, Watertown. You elected a Boehner Bimbo. District should see a lot of goodies!
Confucius say” “Man (or woman) who sit on fence deserve stick up the a$$.”
Her resume sounds like she’s been around politicians far too long for one so young. We’ll be “middle-grounding” our way into a dismal, collectivist state if this keeps up.
Ties to George W., Paul Ryan, and Pawlenty.
Any wonder why she’s a RINO?
RINO’s come in both sexes
“Since you say she refuses to state her positions and Im giving you the benefit of the doubt on that and yet, psychic-call-line-style, you claim that the positions she is holding will screw us.”
When someone is not willing to talk about their positions then we know from history that their positions will not be based on ethics but on politics and that ALWAYS screw us.
“will be in Congress for another 50 years.”
You got it. She’ll be great at playing the game but not at representing the people.
