A Muslim civil rights group has sued the government on behalf of a former Navy enlisted man from Northern California who says he was the target of ethnic slurs, was reassigned to a menial job, and was later denied re-enlistment after seeking permission to wear a beard for religious reasons.

When I was in Beards were regulation so long as they did not interfere with breathing masks.

Agreed. The Sikhs tend to be pro-America. If nothing else, they’re anti-Muslim. This is speaking from personal experience with a handful of Sikh men with whom I worked. I don’t know if this is an overly-broad generalization.

What is their tradition on the treatment of women? We have an older Sikh living nearby. I don’t know him, but he does make his wife walk 10 steps behind him.
