The theater world has long struggled with ideas about casting choices and whether black people can play white characters. Rush is simply catching up. He has every right to want his James Bond to be a Scot. I’m annoyed there is a tv show on now that has Dr. Watson as a GIRL.
I am still waiting for Matt Damon’s stunning portrayal of Malcolm X.

I grew up with the first Bond movies and loved them. And while I don’t like his politics, I will admit that Craig did manage to bring a small amount of life back into it.
But really, this story has simply been told enough times. Can’t anybody think of anything new?

Casting a black actor as James Bond would be about the same as doing a remake of Huckleberry Finn with a white actor playing Jim.
Imagine the outrage it THAT ever happened.
Petty pretentious hypocrisy. Affirmative action cannot be questioned in their eyes. Yet, they persist in inserting black actors into movies that have a proven track record of sales and notoriety. Why is that? Could it be their substitutes couldn’t bank as much book as the original venues.
If you want to stand on your own two feet like you tell everybody, try standing on your own two feet and be judged on originality and merit. Until then, you will be nothing but a forced recognition on society.

What I’m waiting for from Rush but may never hear is this;
As opposition to Obama’s abuse of his constitutional authority and talk of “impeachment” began to arise and his polling numbers fell.
What Obama needed, worked for, and got , by separating and isolating his solid group of supporters the blacks through creating out of whole cloth stories of “victimization”.
Using circumstances where lawless black youths wound up dead in felonious struggles over guns held by figures of authority. Obama used his “Bully Pulpit to reinforce that “victim” agenda in Florida and Missouri. In both cases he portrayed authority as the agressors and the perpetrators as the “victims”
In Florida’s case success was indicated by the number of incidents where members of other races were attacked severly injured or murdered by black youths committing these assults in the name of the so called “victim” All the while Obama neither commented nor condemed such activity.
In Missouri he met with and issued a “stay the course” order to the Ferguson protesters. They in turn coordinated by the usual suspects organized nationwide protests.
Their purpose and result was a successful demonstration of what would happen if congress ever moved on any constitutional efforts to restrain or even remove Obama including“Impeachment”..
I think the next James Bond should be female. and instead of working for the British intelligence lets make him a CIA AGENT.
