Liberals everywhere were outraged this week after Rush Limbaugh said a black man playing James Bond would be ridiculous. The comments were made on Tuesday in regard to leaked Sony emails that revealed that CEO Amy Paschal wanted the black actor Idris Elba to play James Bond. Rush, however, wasnt having any of it. James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming. He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is, was, the conservative radio show host said. But now [they are] suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a black Briton, rather than a white from Scotland. Thats not who James Bond is and I know its racist to probably point this out, he added. Liberals everywhere are outraged by these racist remarks, but what do you think about it? Sound off in the comments below!

Or, how bout a remake of Gone with the Wind, which many have talked about, and the beloved by all races Hattie McDaniel (Mammy) is played this time by a fat white woman!?
It's been cartoon spoofed for a few years now.
Do you think he has any idea what a joke he is?

Rush knows nothing. The Black Moors or Black Scots have lived in Scotland for hundreds of years.
James Bond could be black and Scottish easily.
And if Rush can’t see the difference between the very real Mandela and Obama, and a fictional character, he knows less than nothing.
Hey Amy!............Garry Coleman could play George Patton in the next remake too?!

I’d rather chalk it up to being a slow news day.
I didn’t realize so many liberals were on FR; learn something new everyday.
James Bond is based on Ian Fleming, a WHITE MAN! End of story.

You don't realize how deadly accurate you are with that observation. If the definition of "slavery" is an income tax rate of 100%, then any lesser percentage is merely a matter of degree.
Nonsense.
"Black Scottish people (also referred to as the Black Scottish, and Black Scots) represent a small proportion (less than 1% according to the 2011 census..."
I suspect that hes so warpped up In AL Sharpton he has very few Ideas ...at all....about anything..and utterly no hint at what a ludicrous joke he is.
What cracks me ups is blacks make up 13% of the US population, hispanics far and way a higher percentage in this country.
Why don’t you ever hear the lamestream liberal media calling for a Mexican to play James Bond or Popeye or little bo peep, or Ben Cartwright, Little Joe, Adam, or Hoss? How long before the Cartwrights are turned black in a feature length movie. It’s only right. Let’s all bow-down to race baiters before they burn Hollywood down because James Bond and Little Joe are not played by Morgan Freeman and Snoop Dog.
Absolute nonsense.
The word “Duffy” as in McDuffie or other derivatives actually comes from an old Gaelic word meaning “dark”. That has absolutely nothing to do with their skin color tho.
BTW, Moors are not Negroes. They are closer kin to the Celts than any other group.
When Churchill visited his troops in North Africa during WWII, he was struck with how dark they had become due to being in the bright sun.
Would this discussion be the same if Hollywood were making a white “Shaft”?
OK, so you would be fine with casting Brad Pitt as Charlie Chan.
Not sure if he’d do as good a job as this guy.....(who happened to be Swedish born)...(not sure what your point is about Pitt playing Charlie Chan)...

I read down through the first 50 replies on this thread and refuse to go even further. The stupid just hurts on most of these.
Gawd, most replies to this nonsense are not conservatives.
Nothing new...libs get mad and upset when the truth hits them hard like Rush just did.
A Scottish black man will always be a lie.
A black James Bond is a made up Politically Incorrect character invented to appease libs. It’s also a lie....
Ask yourself if in today’s climate, could “Sanford and Son” be produced for TV like it was in the ‘70s.
Pajama Boy as... “Shaft”!
