These liberal looney tunes want their LGBT rights to do all kinds of sick sexual acts while depriving female deer of their the God given reproduction organs plus taking all potential male deer away from hunters.
The program next year calls for libs to collect doe urine and perform pregnancy tests. Then capture pregnant doe’s and give them abortions at the nearest planned parenthood clinic.
Arrows are reusable. In much of MD, hunting is shotgun only or bowhunting, not rifle--which is okay, because few shots there are over 150 yards. (My Dad has harvested whitetail at 175 yards with a shotgun and rifled slug (sabot), but he has always been, and still is, an exceptional shot.
There is an over population in the ghettos. Breed more than deer. Forced sterilization to control the population which should be paid by the government - a different form of birth control than what is in Obamacare.
The southern third of Michigan was always shotgun only until this year. Now we can use rifles chambered for straight walled cartridges 35 cal and over and a case length of 1.16” - 1.8”, that includes 44 mag rifles.
I picked up a Ruger 77/44 bolt-action and love it, got one for my son too.
More accurate than shotgun slugs with far less than half the recoil. Much cheaper to shoot and you can reload your own. They have about the same effective range as shotgun slugs. 4 deer so far this year and all one shot kills.
Ohio, Indiana, and southern Michigan were former shotgun only, but now allow those types of rifles. You should prod your state into allowing them too.

Venison, it’s what’s for dinner. Problem solved.
I understand what you are saying but if this community is anything like where I live, there is no way to hunt them due to the safety issues - wall to wall subdivisions........
Instead of catching, neutering then releasing, just catch and kill the damn thing or else eventually it'll get nailed by an auto......
Here in Michigan the southern half is shotgun/slugs only. but like your neighborhood, safety is an issue that not even slugs would take care of. Heck, there's a tenth of a mile square wooded area at the back of my sub that has at least 5 deer in there and at the southern side of that little animal oasis is an 8 lane highway.......Every couple of months you'll see a deer on the side of the highway that was nailed by a car. The population continues to thrive due to a watershed drain that extends for miles to the north that deer will roam. There was even a beaver dam that had to be destroyed by the DNR to prevent possible flooding over my sub's access road.........
There's really not too much you can do other then let nature and the automobiles take care of the problem
There is no accounting for the trauma of capture and later release.
One of the roots such as wasteful, foolish, intrusive, thuggish, and sometimes tyrannous government is the ease with which it can create almost unlimited amounts of money out of thin air. Near-infinite money buys near-infinite government, and a bureaucracy that is generously funded can entertain an open-ended dream about how to expand its realm.
Every day more people are coming to the judgment that a carefully organized effort to repair the constitution via the States’ power to propose and ratify amendments poses less risk to our liberty and prosperity than the present trajectory of the federal government and especially the federal bureaucracy whose self-published rules carry the weight of law.
The first order of business of an Article V Convention must be to limit government’s ability to create and spend near-infinite amounts of money.
If they sterilize all the does, they will have no deer in a few years. Since this is funded by private donors, sounds OK to me. But I’d miss having deer around.
Question: Can’t they give birth control shots to the deer?
Question: Wouldn’t it be cheaper, quicker, easier to castrate the bucks?
Actually, this issue is close to my heart, being a supporter of keeping wild horses wild. They are rounded up by the BLM, kept in excruciating inhumane conditions, and sold to kill buyers. I know many here think that’s OK, but not me. I do wonder why they don’t just sterilize them and let them live out their lives on the range. As symbols of American Freedom, one would think they matter.
You can eat a McDonald’s hamburger, but you can’t allow wild venison to be harvested. Check.
Applying concepts of ecology and population genetics, this method will only have a temporary effect.
Unless they continue performing surgery on animals in their garages at an adequate rate, and if the same environmental conditions persist, the population will again increase.
As the other poster said, all you need is a longer hunting season.
As population density declines deer from outside the area will move in, and they’ll be right back to square one.
pet mouse, not moose, I’m talkin’ vermin
I’d love to meet the white-tail deer counselors who advise the deer to be sterilized.
Our ‘hood sounds similar. We’re in the city limits, surrounded by other subdivisions...but there seem to be enough trees and water to keep them happy. It’s not unusual to see 3 or 4 sauntering down our street at night...and then reversing and walking back. Traffic had to stop on the main drag for 7 of them crossing.
They’re cute but destructive. But hey...when the shtf...we’re having venison for dinner.
Surely you jest.
But we are paying the NIH salaries and bennies. So it is not really free.
I don't see MD changing in the parts which are shotgun only because of the type of cover and the population density.
In the range envelope most common there, the 12 gauge rifled slug is plenty adequate. I bagged my first whitetail there at the ripe old age of 11 with a .410. The shot my Dad pulled off was a rare one. He was after that buck, specifically, and that critter just wasn't coming in close. Most deer harvested there are at 100 yards or less, unless you are in the western part of the state, but rifle hunting was allowed there then, and likely still is.
LOL! You typed mouse, I read moose. This is stark evidence that no one should ever hire me as a reporter or an editor.
