To incoming Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), it is more important for Republicans to be the party of yes than go all-out to defund President Barack Obamas executive amnesty.
According to the New York Times, McConnell acknowledges that changing the mind-set of opposition in the next Congress will be crucial to advancing legislation that will attract Democratic support and force Obama into difficult choices over whether to sign measures pushed by his adversaries. The Times notes that is why his focus will be lawmakers he thinks he can meld into a governing coalition.
All of us from time to time make a point, Mr. McConnell told the outlet. But it is time now to make a difference.

The only time we are wanted & needed is at election time.
Otherwise, it's name-calling & pushed to the back of the bus!
Boehner pretty much kept conservatives on lockdown in the House because there was no single figure with high enough profile to oppose him . There are good representatives, like Louis Gohmert and Michelle Bachman, but neither had a compelling media presence other than on talk radio. McConnell won’t have that advantage; Cruz will be able to force him to bring things to the floor that Reid never would have, and he’ll be able to force McConnell to allow amendments and votes. I think McConnell’s pledge to go back to regular order is the key reform, and Cruz will take major advantage.
I, for one. do not intend to rollover and play dead.
Mitch and his pals are gonna hear PLENTY from me.
The GOPe loves ObamaCare because their corporate backers do.
Same goes for amnesty.
Maybe this explains his loyalty to the The One:

Well just go back and check the threads. Read the freepers telling us ‘no matter what’. And “The Dem is worse”. And “You support Obama”.
Wasn’t easy to miss any of that because MANY freepers used all those excuses RE: Mitch and Jonbon.
Hard to miss unless one wants to pretend none of it happened.
just another reason I was all for Mitchy to lose his primary and then the main.....
He is at least as dangerous as Reid and Pelosi
The sellout is now complete.
Isn't that cute?
So where are those folks now who insisted that McConnell was better than Grimes?
I guess McConnell has reached the age where 6 more years is enough for him. He can be a lobbyist when his time in the Senate is up. He doesn’t give crap about the rest of us, but he is set for life.
When is the 21st Century Abraham Lincoln going to appear? Very shortly I hope.
The Dem is worse, but only marginally. It is time for a third Party to give a choice.
Is this guy for real?? I can’t believe he represents Kentucky. I have only been there once, but I thought it was a good state.
The party of ‘yes’... gimme a break. We didn’t elect some guy to parrot slogans put out by democrat war rooms...
What a fool
How exactly is a person that openly espouses evil and commits it ‘worse’ than a supposed friend that knifes you in the back and commits the same evil.
Please explain that to me because I have asked a lot of people holding that opinion to do so and none rise to the challenge. I think if the words of Hamilton are to be believed, or to go by, the modern Dem is NOT worse. The enemy in our own camp is. And I trust the wisdom of the Founders a lot more than that of the people who reelect our problems and take pride in repeating the stupidity.
Actually, a tool would be a better term. Save the fool for those who voted for him , knowing full well what he was and what he would do , once elected.
