Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead Saturday afternoon as they sat in their marked police car on a Brooklyn street corner in what investigators believe was a crazed gunmans execution-style mission to avenge Eric Garner and Michael Brown.
Its an execution, one law enforcement source said of the 3 p.m. shooting of the two officers, whose names were being withheld pending family notification of their deaths.
The tragic heroes were working overtime as part of an anti-terrorism drill when they were shot point-blank in their heads by the lone gunman, who approached them on foot from the sidewalk at the corner of Myrtle and Tompkins avenues in Bed-Stuy.
Im Putting Wings on Pigs Today, a person believed to be the gunman wrote on Instagram in a message posted just three hours before the officers were shot through their front passenger window.

One was Hispanic, the other Asian.
The on,y unions thatbare useful still are Police and Fire.
How many times were we told these thugs protesting were peaceful? All while there burned their city to the ground and threw rocks at police.
What about the heroes that laid down their lives on 9-11-01? 414 were emergency workers in New York City who responded to the World Trade Center.
This included:
- 341 firefighters and 2 paramedics from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY)
- 37 police officers from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department (PAPD)
- 23 police officers from the New York City Police Department (NYPD)
- 8 emergency medical technicians and paramedics from private hospital units dispatched through the 911 system, as well as commercial ambulance groups brought in under “mutual aid” for this disaster emergency medical services.
- 3 New York State Court Officers
Lists those emergency workers from the three main emergency services, the FDNY, PAPD, NYPD, and NYSCO who died whilst fulfilling their duties at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
“Do you agree that the officers killed tonight did not deserve to die?”
Hell no they didn’t deserve to die.
I’m just tired of the double standard attitude cops have about our lives, vs theirs.
“No good cops unions, committees, decried this anywhere. Silence per usual.”
The kicker is that when cops got angry about ball players supporting that Ferguson thug, the cops found a voice loud enough to be heard. Clearly, if LE wants to speak out, they can get heard.

What about them? Their deaths have nothing to do with the article I pointed to, or the issues of what is going on in LE. I can praise a person for good actions, while condemning bad ones. And bad actions do not get erased by good ones.
As for the heroes, the ones I admire are the ones who went in after the first building fell. Nor were they the only heroes. There were others, with no official duty, who risked their lives.
Good.
Im just tired of the double standard attitude cops have about our lives, vs theirs.
No not good. You broad brush all 750,000 local cops in this country instead of criticizing the few.
Reminds me of LEO Harless who apparently broad brushed at least three people during traffic stops after he himself was attacked during an earlier traffic stop.
From that point he couldn't tell the difference between the good and the bad.
DeBlasio supporters will just say it was an isolated event.
What about them? Their deaths have nothing to do with the article I pointed to...
Wow. Similarly, your examples in Canton and Colorado on this thread have nothing to do with this article and the assassination of two innocent policemen.

A declining culture. A lawless President. An imperfect law enforcement community.
Your moral equivalency regarding two cold blooded murders is not acceptable.
Prosecute crime. Discipline bad cops. Promote virtue and character in society.
The race war, if we are having one, that Holder, Ayers and others wanted decades ago is one sided so far. Let’s hope that it will end before it really becomes a war.
No, it’s a massacre.
Remember the outrage at Palin for talking about “putting a bullseye” on certain democrats running for office?
Think we get the same anger and accusations here?
He didn’t cave.
If he wasn’t Mayor he would be leading them.
Wonder why he shot his girlfriend- was she white?
Maybe she found out his plans and she was about to call the cops.
Great point and good memory.
Gabby Giffords after the 2010 midterms. The MSM needed to change the national dialogue and they jumped on her tragic shooting to cast the right and the tea party as gun nuts.
The good old days.
One midterm later and the left is openly advocating and committing the murder of police officers. I don’t think we’ll hear much about gun control this time. Maybe a bit about sociology.
God bless the families of the officers.
Also pray for the leadership of the LEO community. We need them to take on the role that civilian leadership would ordinarily provide. But much of civilian leadership, especially in DC and NYC, is on the other side.
