Despite Ferguson and like-minded protesters thinking that the world is fixed on them, they’ve yet to realize that in lieu of the Grand Jury verdict, the world has moved on. So when one Portland protester tried to maliciously stop traffic by walking into the road, you can imagine his surprise when one driver swerved toward him, allegedly yelled, “Get a job,” and ran him over… well, at least his foot.
As KGW reports:
Julian Rist, 19, was injured while he was in a group of protesters blocking traffic in the middle of West Burnside Street near 10th Avenue, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police.
According to reports, the protest was organized by Don’t Shoot PDX, where Rist entered the road in a blatant attempt to stop traffic. The Mike Brown sympathizers at the scene reported that as Rist entered the road, a belligerent driver of a black SUV allegedly swerved across the road, entering the oncoming lane, yelled “Get a job,” and ran over Rist’s foot before speeding away.
Despite protesters labeling it a “hit and run,” that turned out not to be the case, since the driver, Thomas Munsey, 37, called police 15 minutes later, saying he was the driver of the black 2015 Audi SUV. Milwaukie police later said the driver claims he “drove away because protesters surrounded his SUV and he was afraid for his safety and the safety of his family.”
What’s even better? Rist was cited by police for not being in a crosswalk when he decided to walk into the street.

Notice in the video, he is STILL blocking the street when the police show up to respond.
None of his protestor buddies could drag him 15 feet over to the sidewalk in the time it took the cops to get there... they just left him lying in the street, even less visible to traffic.
To the police, “Thank you for protecting us.”

Racist profiling alert - they labeled that SUV as black. Clearly, just trying to keep the SUV down.
Well, I know why. Long time since I heard anyone use that term for Brazil nuts, though.
