What Is The Origin Of Your FReeper Name?
and entertain our troops and veterans and their families, and is family friendly.

Well, I've definitely learned my civics lesson for life.
Give me a Democrat over a Marxist/Socialist/Progressive any day.
My FR name just seemed the most descriptive at the time — gee, so long ago, now! I was young, single, and living the cubicle-career “life.” It fit.
Well howdy neighbor!
Sheriff Joe is my sheriff!
Amen! :)
I didn’t realize we were supposed to have screen names here!
My dad, Quick Silver, named me after his Grandpa Junk.
Is there supposed to be a link to something or? My Freeper name came from my love of flying. When I was learning to fly my first flights were in a sail plane. I would have my player with me playing songs and I would fly to the music, hence Skydancer ....
I've mentioned it before (but probably not in the past decade or so) that my FReeper name comes from a trading-card game, a style of gaming popular in the mid-90s before the Magic: the Gathering folks got a patent and put everyone else out of business.
The game was called Guardians and Tanniker Smith was an Outlaw, but I thought it was more of a cool, science-fictiony name. I never found out the origin of it, though I did inquire.
Ma, when are you going to tell us about your FReeper name? :-)
From Motorcycle Scrambler. Kind of dirt/road ... I like/ride them all.
But also like eggs — scrambled —
and ideas — and logic —
scrambled = examine your logic. Can you really defend it?
Merry Christmas!
Oh man! And I thought having a hog plant in town was bad!
I started as Alaska Sgt. But, then got stationed to Arizona. I asked Jim Thompson to change my name to Jet Jaguar. Now, I am back in Alaska.
I was new to the political side of the internet and stumbled on a website called Democratic Talk Radio (a bit like DU). This was early in 2001. I was a bit shocked at what I was reading and could not believe there were people who really voiced some of these opinions.
I decided to have some fun with these people and registered. My profile was that of a JC History professor at SFCC (hence the SF). Michael comes from a dear friend, from whom I bought my first car (he had recently passed).
The lark lasted about three months. I would post feigning agreement, but play the devils advocate and ask questions back or talk about what a student had said. A few of them were suspicious, then the Chandra Levy/Gary Condit thing broke. I said something in defense of Condit, just to see the response. One guy called me out in such a manner that I sent him a private e-mail and confessed. He turned out to be a Freeper (Rebelbase) and told me of this site. I carried the name over.
Cool thread, Pro! (((hugs)))
LUV W here...guess where mine came from. :D
Isn't that the truth.
Such a nice thread. Yes, I chose the name Lady Jane because that is what my mother called me when she wanted me to stop whatever I was doing. "Stop right there Lady Jane!" she would say when I was about to do something.
From years ago, I want to know how Senator Pardek chose his name.
Jinx was a nickname for both my Dad and I. Our troops would say “Hi, Jinx!” And so it goes...
Nice seeing you again!
Merry Christmas!
That’s hilarious! Thanks for sharing.
“O Holy Night”....beautiful, Pro, just beautiful.
I love Christmas music.
