Jeb Bush is exploring a 2016 presidential bid.
The former Florida governor said in a post on Facebook Tuesday that over the Thanksgiving holiday there was a lot of discussion about the future of the nation.
As a result of these conversations and thoughtful consideration of the kind of strong leadership I think America needs, I have decided to actively explore the possibility of running for President of the United States, Mr. Bush said.
Mr. Bush said he plans to establish a Leader PAC next month to help me facilitate conversations with citizens across America to discuss the most critical challenges facing our exceptional nation.
The PACs purpose will be to support leaders, ideas and policies that will expand opportunity and prosperity for all Americans, he said.

Guess it doesn’t really matter to me, since I live in a uber-communist state and the primary here is rather late, but I hope the voters of the earlier states stop Jeb in his tracks - why with Jeb’s views on Common Core and amnesty would he ever be able to win the nomination and with that RINO baggage and legacy attached to boot? I think Jeb is worse than Dole, worse than his big RINO brother, worse than McCain, worse than Romney. He ought to run for president of Mexico so that his midget wife would be Uno Senoria, or whatever they call it there.
LOL! Karl (or is it John B. or Mitch M.), I didn't know you had an account here!
This is Free Republic, we are the home to CONSERVATIVES and not Republicans -- which, these days, are merely Democrats by another name.
I don't know how you've on the forum since 2004 plugging such an Amnesty-loving Big Government Republican such as Jeb Bush, but you can't survive long.
Could Santorum be persuaded that “Common Core” (and all the useful idiots who support it) need defeating?
Let’s get Santorium to stop Jeb before “lift-off”!
I was thinking the same thing. The opposite has happened the last two presidential elections.
Cogent observation Laz. One thing that struck me reading that response of yours.
I get this sense that Cub fans and Conservatives have a lot in common. You finally think they have a team there that can restore the freedoms you’ve lost and reverse the losing economic trend, but soon after the first week of the season, you end up thinking, “Maybe next election cycle. We’re just a few decent players away from winning.”
We are creeping ever so closer to the cartridge box being the only recourse remaining.
Jeb Bush:
Poster child for the politically deaf.
Maybe Sally Struthers can raise campaign funds?
We've been at that point, and we took a pass. The Era of the Gun is almost over anyways. A swarm of playing-card-deck quadrotor drones, each equipped with a 1" barrel and a single .22 short cartridge, beats any soldier, insurgent, or civilian.
OK then here comes president Hillary. I will crawl over broken glass to vote as many times as I can for the Republican candidate for president. I listened to all of you whine about McClain and Romney and weve had 8 years of Obama. I blame you and your ilk.

I haven’t posted here in a long time but I still lurk and read. Your post forced me to log on and respond. What you said is EXACTLY the reason I left FR. I couldn’t stand the aggravation any longer and I share your beliefs. I was starting to think there are more progressive concern trolls here on FR than real conservatives. I am a real conservative on every single issue, HOWEVER I also realize that any R is better than a D president. SUPREME COURT ring a bell to all these naysayers? If Hillary gets in, she will probably have 2-3 nominations to the court. It will be stacked with younger progessives for decades. There may be no turning it back and the “fundamentally changing of the United States of America” will be accomplished. Therefore, I too will crawl over broken glass to vote for any R whether I like them or not.
THIS IS GOOD NEWS FOR THE TEA PARTY
Why?
Because, no matter what, the GOPe is going to have a candidate. Usually, the money lines up behind ONE candidate.
But Christie will also run, making two RINO candidates.
And if we’re REALLY lucky, Mitt will jump in, too.
On our side, we will quickly rally around Cruz.
This will reverse the typical Republican primary situation.
Bush or Clinton.....What’s the difference? Two sides of the same coin.
Oh hell no...
Getting Herpes is a great analogy for voting for a Bush. You kind of enjoy the act of getting it, then you realize that it really sucks, while simultaneously recognizing that yes, there are worse things out there.
I could never “not vote”, too many good men have died for not voting to be an option for me. But I would damn sure find a write in candidate. And since I’m under no delusion that a write in candidate could win, I’d have some fun with it.
Harry Callahan 2016?
Don’t forget Bob “Let’s make a deal” Dole, George 41, and Gerald Ford!
-— Id love to hear Trump and Warren debate each other. -—
I’d rather hear the Kardashians debate each other. It would be as meaningful.
Please, NO!
Little Jebbie is the elite’s choice for Prez. They don’t care how fed up the little people are with their policies.
” ont forget Bob Lets make a deal Dole,”
Dole told Reagan his tax cuts wouldn’t fly the same week Reagan took office. Dole: “ I’m afraid the horse is out of the barn on your tax cuts, Mr. President”
Reagan(4 minutes later) “ The horse is back in the barn! “
NOOOOOO!!!!
Stay out da Bushesss
Who is it best to contact to let them know how we feel?
