Chippewa Falls, WI Dashcam video has been released that shows the disturbing last moments of a mans life as hes detained by a Chippewa Falls police officer on the way to the hospital.
29-year-old Casey Kressin died after suffering a severe asthma attack when the vehicle that was rushing him to the hospital was pulled over by a Chippewa Falls police officer.
After they were stopped, Kressins girlfriend immediately starts to beg the officer to take him to the hospital. The officer instead calls for an ambulance.
The couple was just 3 miles from the hospital when they were stopped. It took over 6 minutes for the ambulance to arrive.
During the stop, the officer callously listens to the begging couples pleas for help as Kressin slips further away. Hes going to die! He cant breathe! screams Kressins girlfriend. We can hear Kressin begging for help as he falls to the ground, starving for air, I cant breathe ..I cant breathe.
The officer just stares at the couple, telling them to wait for the ambulance. By the time the ambulance arrives, it takes another 2 and 1/2 minutes before Kressin begins his journey to the hospital; sadly too much time had passed. Police say Kressin became unresponsive at that time and was pronounced dead at Saint Josephs Hospital.
Chippewa Falls Chief Wendy Stelter says she stands behind the officers who responded, saying that Kressins girlfriend should not have been allowed to drive the rest of the way because she was hysterical.
However, she was only hysterical because her boyfriend was dying and being kept from life saving treatment that could have saved his life.

Same here. You can arrest me at the hospital.
I’d call 911 on the way there if a cop was behind me with his lights on to let them know where I’m going and why.
But otherwise I’m not stopping.
Exactly. Why the heck did they stop?
Of course, she’s not any more. For most of us, it just didn’t take someone dying to teach us.
The same guy who is getting sued anyway, guaranteed.
You can probably thank the lawyers for that.
The cop’s ego is paramount. The cop proved he had the power to force the couple to remain. The begging and the death while under his control enhanced the feeling of power even further.
Cops and liberals are similar creatures.
This is when you keep driving and motion to the cop that you are going to the hospital.
If you have a medical emergency, just keep going to the ER.
Did you notice this sentence in the article?
driving on to the hospital doesn’t always work today.
“”In October we brought you the story of the woman in labor who was forced to the ground at gunpoint after police deployed spike strips on the couple who was speeding to the hospital to have their baby.””
Would only be a problem IF he was a black guy..
I would rather the cop had risked a lawsuit in an effort to save the young man’s life. It might have turned out fine.
They are going to get sued now for certain.
I watch “Dragnet” about every day. It is an entertaining show.
A few days ago they had the cops speaking to a group of civilians, asking questions etc.
One person asked about having a gun. The answer given was about as stupid as it gets. Officer Gannon says, “You can get to your phone just as quickly as you can get to a gun”.
Did no one writing for that show not realize just how dumb that was?
The cop called the ambulance, which was exactly what he should have done. My sister had a minor stroke at a public place and we drove her to the hospital because she was embarrassed and didn’t want us to call 911.
She waited almost three hours in the emergency room because she hadn’t been brought in by ambulance but could still stand up, walk and talk. The doctor told her that they had missed the stroke window (often, a minor stroke precedes a major stroke, and the hospital had completely ignored this) but that, fortunately, she would have only minor problems, such as floaters, for awhile. If it had been a major stroke and she’d been brought into the hospital in a private car, she would be dead now.
Good question. Conditioning to respect the authoritay of the police, I guess? Who cares when a loved one is dying.
Why not escort the chick’s vehicle? The Chief popo needs to be gone.
...
Another article says the car was stopped after speeding through a red light. What if she had t-boned somebody?
As usual, the agitators against law enforcement are leaving out details.
I agree. They can talk to me at the emergency room.
In fact, vulnerable people shouldn’t allow themselves to be pulled over in vulverable places at vulnerable times.
We need an understanding that a vehicle pulled over can proced to the next exit, and go to the nearest open service station.
That makes it safer for both driver and police. Safe from accusation, safe from abuse, safe from traffic.
I’ve seen folks pulled over in the most insanely tight locations in high traffic. It’s just pure ignorance on the part of the police.
Yep, you do what you have to do.
The girlfriend should be happy they didn’t have a dog in the car with them.
Then again, a small dog might have caused the cop to call for back up and a more intelligent officer would have taken charge.
“Chippewa Falls Chief Wendy Stelter says she stands behind the officers who responded, saying that Kressins girlfriend should not have been allowed to drive the rest of the way because she was hysterical.”
So they had to kill the victim for safety purposes?
Maybe it was intended to be.
That was a long video.
