hould anyone have been surprised that Michele Bachmann would go out with a bang, a big bang? On Tuesday, in what the retiring congresswoman from Minnesota figured would be her last White House holiday party, Bachmann used the grip-and-grin moment when she got her picture taken with President Obama to raise a reliably grin-killing topic. The U.S. needs to take out Irans nuclear facilities today, she informed him.
His response?
A condescending smile and laugh, she tells Politico, making a little pat-on-the-head gesture. Michele, it isnt that easy, but thats OK, she remembers him telling her. To which the gentlelady from Minnesota replied that it would be on him, then, to have failed to keep Iran from wiping Israel off the map.
Merry Christmas!
Bachmann, who, amid a probe into possible campaign finance violations during her 2012 presidential run, announced last year that she would not seek a fifth term, put a lot of thought into that final substantive word with the president, as she puts it, even if it did make her the holiday guest from hell. I made the conscious decision I was going to run hard through the tape at the end of her time on the Hill, she said in a long interview in the borrowed committee room where her staff has been camped out since they packed up her office before Thanksgiving. And using even those few seconds with Obama in the most provocative possible way is just one reason the 58-year-old firebrand feels like an accomplished person as she exits stage right.
I feel almost like my life is over, in a positive way, she says.
Bachmann, after all, came to Washington to fightand she did, summoning thousands of tea partiers to protest at the Capitol, questioning the presidents patriotism, and tirelessly,

I am hopeful she will have a place in a GOP Adminstration in 2017.
You ain’t see nothing yet... B-b-b-baby no you ain’t seen nothing yet! Here comes something you never gonna forget!
Rock, from your keyboard to God’s inbox!
I wish her the best, she’s been a favorite of mine for some time.
She’s a good woman. I wish her well in whatever she chooses to do in the future.
The Democrats redistricted here in Louisiana for the same reason. They got rid of Tea Party Jeff Landry by doing so and a larger area is now stuck with Obama leming jerk Cedric Richmond
“...Maybe she can form Bachmann Palin Overdrive. ...”
Love it!! Haha!
Indeed. I hope she doesn’t go gentle into that good night.
He's right.
Confirmed Politico’s bias earlier they had a headline gushing over wacko Elizabeth Warren.
Her run for President came across to me as self serving, she felt in her mind she could become the next Sarah Palin, but just does not have the gravitas. That`s how I read her.
The repetitive talk of her supposed foster kids??? It would have been better if others spoke of her good works, rather than her saying it.
Having said that I agree with most of what she says,,,She hurt the cause of Sarah Palin when she ran for President
I put Rick Santorum in the same category ...Rick wants us to believe he is this great Christian yet he trashed Sarah Palin and did not back Toomey over Specter...yes I know the situation at the time, but he never sounded like the guy that ran for President while in the US Senate
Palin - Bachmann 2016
Could Win
I mean...against Fakeahontas?
Congratulations to Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann for your principled service. You made a positive difference and all Americans have benefited from your courage.
You and former Governor Sarah Palin led the opposition against Obamacare and the president’s efforts to weaken our country. You were correct, again and again, and the vast majority of Americans voted for the policies that you championed.
Now, you leave as a winner, as usual.
Come back in the next administration and use your tax-code expertise to reform the Infernal Revenue Serfs.
Interesting comment. In 2009 the hero of Benghazi said we will not let Iran have the bomb. Last week at the good-bye reception for congress at the WH Bachmann told Obama it’s time to bomb Iran.
Instead of the media calling Obama out on the obviously delays and letting Iran continue development, they call her wacko and Warren a great candidate.
The media doesn’t give a damn about national security.
I’m sure we’ll be hearing from her.
possible campaign finance violations
Note the word “possible”. She gets a letter from the NSA that says “We’ve found some possible dirt on you. We can make it fact if we must.” What would you do?
Put her in charge of the IRS. She owes them.
I remember years ago in the Yuma desert Marine chow hall listening to “Takin’ care of business” We all had smiles on our faces. Wish it were so now.
Mega dittos!
