and ashamed of the working class. And thats when Democrats lost the South Actually that IS true.
The Bitter Clingers statement being the primary example of effete elite condescension towards the Common people of the South.
Why support people who spit on you?

Sorry Hillary. We are past the point where you can simply go back to calling yourself Mrs. Bill Clinton to get votes in the South.

The Clintons didn’t help Pryor or Landreau. Their influence in the South is not as great as they think. And, Hillary wasn’t that popular when BJ was governor.
Hillary’s pandering ‘no ways tard’ might work with some groups, but it also alienates other groups.

Don’t bet the farm on that! The line has been drawn by the progressives and we’re never crossing it.

For the Democrats, of course they and Hillary can win in the South. Just like one of Mary Landrieu’s supporters urged, “Vote early, vote often!”

Demographics. Only a matter of time.
A real populist can wreck havoc on both parties, probably splitting the R vote.
That is a strategy I'm sure the Dems could roll out. It would work because the GOP sure has neglected that part of the citizenry.

Their strategy has been simple from the beginning: lie their asses off and NEVER admit that the ultimate goal is a totalitarian socialist government.

That article never got to the point - stating how the Democrats can win the South.
It sort of hinted at it, and those hints point to a Democratic Party plan for... wait for it... class warfare and socialist redistribution schemes.
Wow. That's new.

Somewhere along the way, the party of Andrew Jackson, William Jennings Bryan, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Robert F. Kennedy became a defender of the banks and the pharmaceutical companies, comfortable among the rich, and ashamed of the working class. And thats when Democrats lost the South. Yeah, the demoncraps got taken over by the marxist-alinsky-organizers.

Converse logic would say that liberal economic issues don’t fire them up, otherwise they’d be voting Democratic.
