We have a list of demands.
(VIDEO-AT-LINK)
Russell Simmons, co-founder of Def Jam Recordings, appeared on CNN last night on Out Front with Erin Burnett to warn there are more protests coming if "demands" were not met.
We are seeing the beginning of the end of police policing the police, he added.
"On Wednesday, we are going to ask for indictments and list of achievable demands." ('We' referring to high profile celebrities and athletes that share Simmons' beliefs.)
"And America has not seen protests like those that are coming if justice doesn't start to come down," warned Simmons.
Simmons told Burnett, "Over 150K cases were brought before the grand Jury and and only 11 cases didn't come back with indictments. It's like lightening striking the black community over and over and over again."
We need special oversight committees, we shouldn't leave it to DAs who work with the police, explained Simmons.
Burnett asked, "You don't feel defeated that has happened again and again and again" to which Simmons responded "We're going to get indictments now because America hasn't seen what's coming."
"When people understand the injustice properly, the way these protestors understand it, they're all going to fight for justice, and that's going to change this system."
He's actually right about that. But it would be difficult to keep those oversight committees fair and nonpolitical.
You hit it on the head my friend. These protests are coordinated and directed by worldwide anarchists who see a very wounded country in the United States and are sending in their rabble rousers to stir up the pot even more. These are not citizen-led protests. The ones in Ferguson and in the Bay Area have a professional feel to them.
They tried blocking bridges in my town here in NE Fla. yesterday. Cops responded and had ‘em off the bridges and in cuffs in about 10-15 minutes..... There’ll probably be more though.
CCW is my friend.
Yeah, if we didn’t **know better** it’d all look scripted and pre-planned...
Seems like the system works. So you riot over the 11?................
There will be some justice handed out all right, but I don’t think it will be what he had in mind.....bring it.
In the words that Russell Simmons would understand:
Bring it on b!tch.
The problem is you will burn down your own businesses and homes. You will bring on more police action.
And if you take it into the white neighborhoods, you will bring down hell fire and brimstone the likes of which YOU haven’t seen since the civil war.
So, bring it on. We welcome it.
The white majority supports your desire for justice. We really do. We don’t want to see anyone hurt. We do not want to see anyone killed. But justice is the process, not the outcome. The justice system for whites is the same as it is for blacks. If you introduce a two tiered system it will be the basis for riots, coming from the other direction.
And Russell, part of the change of the justice system is to follow the orders of the police. When they tell you to stop, stop. When they say put your hands behind your back, put your hands behind your back.
MOST of these incidents occur when there is a resistance to arrest or detainment. Generally speaking, most people know they cannot outrun a bullet. Why is this a difficult concept to understand.
And mark my words, oh great Obamahole, that you’ve not begun to see the kickback either.
You’re going to have to face the fact that its YOUR culture that is a complete utter failure, not ours.
Get use to it, idiot.
He’s a rapper! We better do what he says!
“Slaves dream not of freedom, but of becoming masters.”
He’s simply citing the flawed Nate Silver/538 numbers spun to show that the 11% were an abberation driven by bias.
What Nate-boy failed to do is to consider that the cases even going to grand jury might have been the abberation. In the case of Wilson/Brown there was overwheming physical evidence justifying the use of lethal force. This evidence corroborated the story of Wilson and several other witnesses.
The ONLY reason it went to grand jury is that the DA wanted to punt the issue to an ostensibly “neutral” body for political cover. Had the races been different the DA wouldn’t have wasted the grand juries time.
* cough ** national police force ** cough
Somehow, those protesters and rioters always seem to provoke a backlash. California Governor’s race in 1966 (Reagan beat Brown), Presidential race in 1968 (Nixon beat Humphrey), Presidential race in 1972 (Nixon beat McGovern in a tremendous landslide), NYC Mayoral race in 1992 (Giuliani beat Dinkins)...
Doesn’t matter. There are honest businesses in the bad parts of town, too.
So tell me, Russell, how many criminal acts have been inspired by the rap “music” that you are promoting? How many thefts, how many assaults, how many rapes, how many murders?
Bring it leeches.
And just what would “justice coming down” look like?
Black males being allowed to get away with criminal activity?
Cops avoiding arresting black males?
If they resist, letting them go?
Cops waiting to actually be injured before defending themselves?
Like we care if Obama’s flunkies burn down blue cities?
Just dont step across into civilized parts of America with that s**t, or you will be limping back. I’m sure a rich dude like Simmons will make sure he isnt in one of those cities either.
And whatever happened to the Tea Party being the dangerous extremists?
