(KTVI) – While parts of North St. Louis County burned, hundreds of National Guardsmen waited on the sidelines.
We`ve learned that all 2,200 Guardsmen were in St. Louis area before the Darren Wilson Grand Jury decision. Not all of them were used, when it appears they were most needed. Hundreds of them were part of a special force ready to act, yet remained on standby while businesses burned.
During FOX2 live coverage the night of November 25th, Ferguson Mayor James Knowles said, ‘It`s one in the morning. There are fires all over North St. Louis County, buildings burning in Ferguson, Jennings, Dellwood, unincorporated North St. Louis County and (the National Guard is) nowhere in sight. At this point the promise is unfulfilled.’

The pattern, though is that the residents of the affected area who had businesses will likely get out. In other areas this has been described as "white flight". As they move out, the community will spread, shopping in other areas because they drove the businesses out. If lawless behaviour persists, that will cause a shift in customer demographic for those stores, and ultimately in those neighborhoods.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
The pattern is well enough established.
At some future date, it is possible that a developer will move in, snap up enough cheap real estate (often in some urban renaissance sweetheart deal) to build an enclave or new neighborhood, but it will have its back to the people who destroyed the old one. That may or may not work out for the new residents, but the developer will make out.

There were 700 NG actually deployed to 100 different sites to answer phones etc while the cops were out standing on the streets

I know what you saying but simply is not true. When Obama leaves the 90% figure goes away. A lot of these people will go back to not giving a crap when there is not a black on the ballot’ Percentages will still be high but not as high but the total number will drop off drastically.
